By Nancy Bashir !I would like to blame the lack of meeting notes on the lingering effects of tryptophan overload….but since I am a vegetarian, the truth lies somewhere between the fact that I took lousy notes AND the fact that I can’t even find the lousy notes that I took! So let’s see how well I can remember things. Or not." "It was obviously a night meeting, which is why I was even there in the first place, and President Anna was late (6:39 pm) ringing that bell because she was way too busy talking. And talking. Imagine that!"

"The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Izzy, the patriotic song, America the Beautiful, was led by Dave W, the invocation was led by Lon Salgren, who was standing in for a very late Sam Lee. We had 2 guests in attendance: Regina Bory representing The Law Offices of Scott Warmuth, and Lawrence Chan from Rowland Key Club, VP of Kiwanis Relations (ok, Mahmood helped me with that one). Did we remember to sing the welcome song………nooooooooo! " "Past events were discussed, upcoming events were discussed, then Charlie took to the podium to welcome Regina Bory & induct our newest

corporate member, The Law Offices of Scott Warmuth. " "Our guest speaker didn’t show up, so to make sure the meeting would go on for 6 hours, Charlie asked Mahmood to speak about his experience working on the Peter Pan ride in Disneyland, which burst that fantasy bubble for those of us who truly thought we were flying over London! " "Before the closing bell was banged, Daniel Stowell was winner of the Split-the-Pot, and I have no clue how much that was! The meeting ended at 7:48 with a rousing rendition of Hail To The Chief. Or was it Hail to Kiwanis? I know we sang something. Or at least I think we did."
