As the parent/guardian of a minor participating in the City of Oakley’s Recreation Programs, Field Trip and Services, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury. This Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement is intended to discharge in advance the City of Oakley, the Oakley Union School District, the Liberty Union High School District and its officers, employees, volun-teers, and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with myself or my child/ward’s participation in said activity, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. It is further agreed that this Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement is to be binding on my heirs and assignees. Join us for four classes of easy-to-follow beading projects! Projects include bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. We will complete a project each week so you will be able to wear home a new piece of jewelry that you made that day! No complex tools will be used. Creative Movement is a fun class that encourages students to use their imaginations, express individu-ality through improvisation, improves motor skills, and builds self-esteem as they learn the basics of dance. Each class session will be structured into five parts: Creative Play, Warm-up and Stretching, Tech-nique and Dance Vocabulary, Choreography, and Dance Games.

Students will work on cho-reography inspired by today’s hottest music videos, while building musicality, personal style, and confi-dence. BIDDY SOCCERAge: 3-5 years oldLocation: Summer Lake ParkInstructor: Biddy Sports

Biddy Sports is like no other program! Boys and girls ages 3 – 5 years, will learn the fundamentals of the sport and develop social skills in a fun, safe, and family-oriented environment. The class provides a non-competitive introduction to team sports where children can participate at their own level and ability without keeping score. Each one-hour class includes a fun group warm-up, practicing with their team, and playing a game. The time may vary from week-to-week, but your child will always play on Saturday at either 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. Parents get involved by volunteering to coach their child’s team. All training is provided and no experience is required. You can volunteer when you register your child. The T-Ball registration deadline is April 15 and the coach’s meeting will take place on Sun-day, April 19, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. The Soccer registra-tion deadline is August 12 and the coach’s meeting will take place on Sunday, August 16, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Are you tired of asking your parents and friends for a ride? Are you at least 15 years of age? If so, this class is for you! This is an interactive, online course with videos, animated driving scenarios, and sample test questions. Learn the rules of the road, major causes of traffic collisions, DMV procedures, and much more. Receive a DMV-approved Certificate of Completion which is required for teens under 17 ½ years of age in order to obtain a learner’s permit and driver’s license. Students must register at City Hall, 3231 Main Street Oakley. Valid email address required.

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for be-ginning to intermediate players looking to take the next step in basketball. Participants learn the fun-damentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebound-ing, and defense, in addition to the rules, strategies, and play-calls of the game. Our age-appropriate drills and games teach young athletes skill devel-opment in addition to vital life lessons including leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. At the end of this six-week session, your child will show you why this is one of our most popular programs. Participant-to-coach ratio is 10:1.

Using our progressional curriculum, and focusing on the whole player, we provide young athletes with the skills, passion, and confidence to be a bet-ter player on and off the field. The program ends with the Skyhawks World Cup Tournament where participants can show off their new skills with their friends!
