Ascot House Hotel is a stylish Victorian residence offering classical and elegant interiors, situated in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate and located a short drive from Harrogate Registry Office, Christ Church on the Stray and St John’s Church.

We have considerable experience of catering for wedding receptions and have earnt a reputation for fine food, great wine and wonderful service in an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

We know how much there is to plan and think about for your wedding day. To keep things simple, we’ve created a number of all inclusive wedding packages, making the task of organising your wedding as easy as possible. If you would prefer to tailor your own wedding, we offer a menu selector where you can create your own unique wedding breakfast, drinks package and evening buffet.

Day WeddingsAn elegant and intimate wedding can be held at the hotel any day of the week. We can also makeup to a maximum of five bedrooms available for weddings booked on a Friday or Saturday. For weddings booked Sunday – Thursday there is no limit on the number of rooms available (subject to availability).

Ceremony Room HireThe room hire charge for a ceremony is £150.00

Room Capacities: Restaurant: 40 persons King’s Room: Wedding Breakfast: 70 persons Evening Buffet: 80 persons

The RegistrarThe bride and groom must speak with the registrars before confirming dates and times here at Ascot Hotel. The civil ceremony usually lasts no longer than 30 minutes and dates with the registrar can be booked up to two years in advance. Please ring 0845 034 9480 for current registrar’s fees.

Music during the CeremonyShould you wish to have pre-recorded music, please provide all music files in MP3 format. Please ensure you nominate a trustworthy member of your wedding party to be in charge of your playlist. Unfortunately we can only allow the playing of live music during the ceremony, drinks reception or evening function when exclusive use of the hotel is taken.

Evening PartyWe will be pleased to arrange a DJ for you: 7.30pm – midnight is £200.00. Please ensure we receive all song requests one month prior to your wedding. Please note we cannot accept entertainment booked privately. We do request you cater for the total number of guests attending in the evening. For every guest arriving after the wedding breakfast has been served, a charge of £9.50, per person applies.

AccommodationFor all weddings booked on a Friday or Saturday, a maximum number of 5 bedrooms (3 Cosy and 2 Large Doubles / Triple rooms) can be allocated to your wedding party.

We can provide bed and breakfast for your Wedding guests at a reduced rate of £95 for a Cosy room and £105 for a Large room, inclusive of VAT (room rates are relatively cheaper Sunday-Thursday).

Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis. A £50 deposit will be required to guarantee each room booked. Additional bed in room is charged at £15.00, per night (only available in selected Large bedrooms).

We assume that guests can telephone and book directly from your allocation unless you advise us otherwise.

Once the agreed allocation of bedrooms has been reached further rooms will be available to your guests at the Best Available Rate and a minimum stay of 2-nights on a Saturday.


General Information

Accommodation continuedAny bedrooms still provisional i.e. not confirmed with guest name, contact details and £50.00 deposit will automatically be released 3 months prior to your wedding date.

If you would like to reserve all our bedrooms please enquire about exclusive use of the hotel (unfortunately all Friday / Saturday night room reservations are subject to a 2-night minimum stay)

Room upgrades are available, subject to availability, for the bride and groom. The following charges will apply:

Baxter / Coppice £20.00

The Turret Room £45.00

Please note we cannot guarantee the availability of bedrooms unless they are reserved at the time of booking your wedding. The Wedding Rate is the best rate available to you at this time and the above rates will apply to all rooms within your group allocation.

Discounted and promotional rates may be available on public sale at different times as public rates increase and decrease subject to demand. Please note that all room rates are based upon 2 people sharing a bedroom. There is an additional charge for extra beds in Large rooms.
