Emergency per-sonnel assisted her up and left her in the care ofa relative. She refused further treatment, so allunits returned to the station.

Pebble Beach: Grass fire in forest area ofPebble Beach near S.F.B. Morse Road andHolman Highway. Half acre burned, and sourceis under investigation. Nobody found in theimmediate area of the fire. No injuries report-

called 911 and stated she took too many pills on purpose.Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim had her black “Coach” leather

purse stolen at Sunset Center. The suspect(s) — juveniles whoare 15 and 14 years old — later fraudulently used the victim’scredit card at two businesses located in the City of Carmel. Theywere identified and caught.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Citizen called CPD to report a dog atlarge on Casanova Street. Units met with the reporting party,who turned dog over. Dog was friendly and had all proper tagsand was microchipped. Dog was taken to CPD for safekeeping.After leaving a voicemail on the owner’s phone, owner contact-ed CPD. Owner arrived at CPD to pick up dog. Fees were paidand the dog was released.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambulance respondedto a reported medical call on Junipero. At scene, assessed andcared for a man with trouble breathing. Ambulance transportedthe patient to CHOMP.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine responded to a request formutual aid for a vegetation fire on Aguajito Road. Engine can-celed and returned to the station.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambulance respondedto a reported medical call on Junipero Street. At scene, crewsassisted the medic with a resident who had possibly overdosed.Ambulance transported the patient to CHOMP.

FRIDAY, MAY 16

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Juvenile booked at Sixth and Dolores.Carmel-by-the-Sea: Units responded to a reported domestic

dispute at a local hotel on San Carlos Street. After contacting theinvolved parties, it was found the dispute was verbal only.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim on Santa Rita Street reportedthat her boyfriend had borrowed her vehicle and was refusing toreturn it.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: While taking the report of a stolenvehicle, the reporting party was found to have two traffic war-rants.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Units responded to a reported hit-and-run vehicle accident on private property on Third Avenue.Vehicle was drivable.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim came in to report the loss of herMont Blanc watch.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance and fire engine respondedto a medical call in a restaurant on Ocean Avenue. At scene,assessed and cared for a female with ankle pain. Ambulancetransported the patient to CHOMP.

Pebble Beach: Victim reported her wallet and makeup bagwere taken from her purse. Purse was in a conference room.

Wallet subsequently turned in to PGPD but $285 in cash andproperty were missing.

SATURDAY, MAY 17

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Reporting party advised CPD of a wal-let lost while patronizing shops in the business district. If locat-ed, please notify RP.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim’s father reported that some ofhis son’s personal property was taken from his vehicle while itwas parked in the residential area on San Antonio Avenue.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Subject reported the loss of a wallet

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A citizen reported finding a loose dogin the area of Ninth and Dolores. Officer responded to the loca-tion and obtained control of the dog. The officer transported thedog to the police department kennels for safekeeping. The ownerwas located from the dog I.D. number on the collar. A messagewas left on a voicemail, giving the location of their dog. Atapproximately 1020 hours, the owner telephoned the departmentinquiring about their dog. Shortly after the owner came to thestation to retrieve their dog. Fees were paid and a warning wasgiven at 1100 hours. The dog owner will call back with the vac-cination and license information.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Report of a past-tense burglary to arestaurant on Lincoln Street. The suspect entered through a win-dow and exited through a rear door. Taken was approximately$390 in cash.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Report of an attempted burglary to abusiness on Lincoln Street.

Lincoln Street was burglarized.Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim reported loss of a purse with

contents while patronizing shops in the commercial district.Victim recalled having the purse while at Devendorf Park for theart festival. If located, please notify reporting party.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A citizen reported finding a tortoiseon Carpenter Street. The owner was located and the tortoisewas returned.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Subject reported loss of a braceletwhile patronizing shops in the business district. If located, pleasenotify reporting party.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Reporting party on Monte Verde Streetcalled stating that a subject attempted to procure a cash refundby stating that he was returning an item, a wine leather tote bag,on behalf of his sister. The clerk was aware that this could not be

true since she did not receive a telephone call from anyone andthat the item that the subject had in his hand was a part of thecurrent inventory. The subject soon left. An area check was made— unable to locate. The business did not wish to file any crimi-nal complaint.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Units responded to a report of a malesubject yelling at his child on San Carlos Street, and the fatherwas possibly intoxicated. Contacted the male, who was HBD[had been drinking] and slightly uncooperative, but upon talkingwith the child, it was determined that they were playing around.The father was counseled regarding his actions. The child wasfine and in no danger.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance responded to a medicalemergency on Forest Knoll Road in Monterey for a femalepatient who fell. Patient signed medical release form and theambulance returned to Carmel.

Pebble Beach: Victim reported an unknown person stoleproperty from his unlocked truck while it was parked on Lasuen.
