K y o t o P r o t o c o l K y o t o P r o t o c o l is an international initiative that has been taken in pursuit of mitigating global warming.

- :E f f e c t it has been ratified by many countries, and has created a cut on the emission of greenhouse gases and allows for future cuts.

B a li A c t io n P la n B a li A c t io n P la n was created as a roadmap to create a new international climate change agreement by 2009 and that will eventually lead to an international agreement lasting past 2012.

INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONSORGANIZATIONS

U N FC C CU N FC C C [United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change] is an organization which is currently responsible for creating international awareness of climate change and creating means to address this issue. Means which include the Kyoto Protocol.

IP C C CIP C C C deals with researching and determining important information on climate change. They are the key organization that provides the background knowledge and information on climate change, information that is later distributed and used at summits and conferences and when dealing with creating policies such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Bali Action Plan.

C o p e n h a g e nC o p e n h a g e n is a summit scheduled to take place in December of 2009. This summit hopes to create an agreement for a radical reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

PROPOSALPROPOSAL

Our hope for the international community is that it enacts policies, laws, and regulations that reduce carbon parts per million to a safe level while transitioning to more environmentally sustainable practices. This proposal will retard the global warming threat and allow future generations more adequate time to adjust to a changing environment while at the same time reducing our own carbon footprint.
