One laser treatment in 1998 wasall my husband, who had smokedfor 35 years (3 packs a day),needed to stop smoking right thereand then. I was amazed! He hadtried to quit before and it was sostressful for all of us, I told him toplease please start smoking again. After his treatment in 1998, he notonly stopped, but he stoppedwithout the awful stress that wehad seen with other attempts.
That is when I knew what I had to do. I decided that I had tohelp smokers and their families in conquering this powerfulenemy. At Laser Therapy, I have helped hundreds andhundreds of people quit smoking with just one treatment. They have come from all walks of life, and have tried a plethoraof different methods only to relapse to smoking once again. Many have told me about patches and pharmaceuticals theyused and the troubles they had with them. There were alsoscores of loved ones who were affected in a negative mannerbecause of anxiety issues and the stress that sometimes comeswith quitting. I have helped those who had all but given uphope. I’ve helped those that didn’t even want to quit forthemselves but only for their loved ones. I am not against anymethod that will help a person succeed in their quest to quit.My only question is, why not try something that has an 85%success story, that is non-evasive and has zero side effects? If, within six months of your treatment, for whatever reason, you need to or would like to come back in, you can have a freebooster. Of the few people that do come back for a booster,it is near 100% effective. And great news, Flex spendingreimburses for this treatment! I take great pride in knowingthat I had something to do to help someone be successful intheir goal to stop smoking. It warms my heart. Please visit mywebsite www.smokefreetimes.com to read testimonies ofother’s success stories and learn more about my practice.~All the best, Susan Redhead, Laser Therapy

STORY DINNER IN BRUNSWICK
SUCCESSFULThe Multi-Committee group at Gilead Lutheran Church inBrunswick hosted yet another successful event on Friday,February 17th. They had 35 people for soup and stories! Wehad guests from our sister church, Trinity Lutheran in WestSand Lake, and friends from the community. The theme washearts, as it was a post Valentine’s evening out. The speakerwas Glenn Hayner, a deacon for Gilead. He told his story of“Life”, and a couple of songs, had us all laughing and endedwith another “Life” story that brought him to where he is today.Surviving a harrowing car accident as a young man, broughthim to realize that God put him here for a reason, and God wasnot ready for him at that time because his job had not yet beenfulfilled. The dinner offerings were made by the Committee and Friends, including Beef Vegetable soup, Baked Macaroni and Cheese,Manhattan clam chowder, breads, green salad and desserts. The most awesome thing about the evening was that most ofthe committee had just had surgery, or had a family memberthey are caring for that had surgery, or were not feeling wellthemselves. That was amazing what these folks pulled off!The free will offering to raise money for the Confirmation classto attend youth camp this summer raided well over $200. Thenext dinner is scheduled for Friday, March 16th, at 6PM featuringCorned Beef and Spiral Ham, Tuna Casserole and the fixings.

SELDOM-HEARD SAINT PATRICK’S DAY FACTS
* Even though St. Patrick lived centuries earlier, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations didn’t begin until 1737.* More people of Irish heritage live in the United States than currently live in all of Ireland. Irish-Americans living stateside predominantly reside in the North Atlantic states.* Saint Patrick angered the Celtic Druids many times by converting pagans to Christianity. TheDruids put him in jail on numerous occasions.* Green is not the official color affiliated with Saint Patrick. It is really blue. However, green becamea familiar hue during the nineteenth century, associated more with the magic of Irish legends thanSaint Patrick himself.* The three-leaf shamrock has more historical significance with Saint Patrick’s Day than a four-leafclover. That’s because the three leaves were believed to be used by St. Patrick to explain the Christiandoctrine of the Holy Trinity, where God exists as three persons.* For 67 years, Saint Patrick’s Day was a “dry” holiday in Ireland. The John F. Barnes MyofascialRelease approach is safe, gentle, andconsistently effective in producing positiveand lasting results. To understand whatMyofascial Release is, one must have anunderstanding of the fascial system. Fasciais a tough connective tissue which spreadsthroughout the body in a three dimensionalweb from your head to your feet withoutinterruption. Fascia is a specialized systemof the body, which has an appearance similarto a spider’s web or a sweater. It is a verydensely woven covering that interpenetratesevery structure of our body. Because thefascial system is not a system of separatecoverings, but actually one uninterrupted structure throughout thebody, one can see how each part of the body is connected to everyother part by the fascia, like the yarn in a sweater.
Trauma or inflammation can create a binding down of fasciaresulting in excessive pressure on nerves, muscles, blood vessels, bony structures and /or organs. This excessive pressure cancause pain, headaches, and/or restriction of motion. At this timethere are not any standard tests, such as x-rays, CAT scans, andMRIs, that can show fascial restrictions, therefore, an extremelyhigh percentage of people suffering with pain, headaches, andlimitation of motion due to fascial restrictions will go undiagnosed.
Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as aunique individual. Therapy sessions are hands on treatments duringwhich the therapist uses a multitude of Myofascial Releasetechniques and movement therapy. The goal of Myofascial Releaseis to restore the individual’s freedom, so they may return to a painfree, active lifestyle.
