    1 - Full Time - OHIP Biller

    Finance Patient Billings

    Under the general direction of the Coordinator, Patient Billing, OHIP billing clerks are responsible for all duties,

    data entry, processing, claims and verification related to any of the hospital's OHIP Billing Groups. This includes

    the responsibility to investigate and resubmit within set time frames any rejected claims, contacting and

    assisting patients, resident in Ontario, to obtain valid health card numbers for successful OHIP claims submission.

    Expedient and accurate data entry and analysis of physician billing codes for submission to OHIP is another primary

    focus of the position. A coordinated work and communications plan will be required between OHIP Billers, staff,

    physicians, and others.

    The critical success factor for this position is expedient and accurate data acquisition and entry to ensure

    timely original submissions and resubmissions of claims, as necessary, to ensure no loss of revenue.

    Job Requirements


    * Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent

    * Excellent oral and written communication skills

    * Proven speed and accuracy in keyboarding and calculation functions

    * Proficiency in personal computer applications such as Excel in a networked Windows environment

    * Pleasant disposition, tact and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately/code of conduct

    * Working knowledge of OHIP and related billing procedures

    * Previous experience with medical office or hospital systems preferred

    * Must be bondable

    Salary Range: $20.570 to 21.102

    Position Title: Arena Attendant Casual/On-Call Position Description: The Arena Attendant is there to ensure that our customers of which a lot of

    them are kids can enjoy their sports and recreation in a clean and inviting facility that is clean and ready for them when they arrive, and kept maintained, safe and functioning to the maximum throughout the day.

    Major Responsibilities: Prepping the ice, floor, grounds, equipment and/or dressing room before each of our customers

    use them. Cleaning public areas throughout the night. Ensuring the customer issues are addressed and that any unaddressed issues are escalated to

    the Arena and Facility Manager. Granting customers access to the building and the specific areas that the customers, vendors and

    contractors have been granted access to. Handling cash and collecting payment from time to time depending on the event and the

    arrangement with the customer. Maintaining all maintenance, operating, shift and day sheets. A full job is available upon request. Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent Experience driving a Zamboni and using other ice resurfacing equipment is desired. Must have a valid drivers license recognized in Ontario. A familiarity with hockey and FWFN is an asset. Ability to lift and move at least 40lbs. This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test and criminal records check.

    Permanent Position Position Description: Under the general direction of the FWFN Director of

    Health and Social Services, with direct supervision provided by the Social Service Administrator, conducts investigations into allegations of abuse of Ontario Works Social Assistance Program by recipients and conducts proactive reviews where discrepancies have been identified by the program.

    Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Social Services or related field and/or 3-5 years related

    experience. Detailed knowledge of Ontario Works Social Assistance Program and knowledge of other

    relevant government programs. Knowledge of the judicial and appeal proceedings as they apply to social assistance

    matters. Ability to understand and interpret legislation. Investigative experience and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze and summarize information; write detailed, factual reports; perform

    arithmetical calculations; use relevant computer hardware and software. Well-developed written and oral communication skills including negotiation, interviewing

    and interpersonal. Good organizational skills. Ability to exercise good judgement and use discretion; work independently and as a

    team member. Understanding of the Fort William First Nation and community is a definite asset. Conditions of Employment: Valid Ontario Drivers License and use of personal vehicle.
