DEBATING TEAM A – GRAND FINAL

CONGRATULATIONS! The Debating team won the Grand Final.

Burnside A team won against Parramatta PS in a very tight debate

on the topic 'All students should receive a monetary allowance

(from the government)’. Burnside were the negative team and did

a fantastic job with their arguments and rebuttals. Congratulations

on all your hard work throughout the year and winning the Grand

PARENT / COMMUNITY THANK YOU LUNCH

The Helper’s Lunch will be held on Thursday, 5 December in the school hall between 1.00pm and

2.00pm. This is an opportunity to thank parents, friends, scripture and ethics teachers who have helped

the staff and students throughout the year. It is also a time to acknowledge those parents who may be

leaving the school after a long association.

COSfest MOVIE NIGHT

What an amazing evening at Cumberland High School where our student finalists of Movie Makers

competed in the COSfest Movie festival. I would like to acknowledge and thank Mechel Pikoulas

(Principal) and Clarinda Oliver (Former Deputy Principal) of Cumberland High School and their team for

supporting this great event. The K-2 division was hotly contested, with the students from K/1B and their

special friends outshining all the other contestants to win the K-2 division. Congratulations to all

students! Thank you Mrs Barrett, Miss Parish and Ms Bea.

P & C FAMILY FUN NIGHT - Friday, 29 November – 4:30pm to 8:30pm

The P&C will be holding their annual Family Fun Night on Friday, 29 November from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

Wristbands can be pre-ordered before the night at $25 per band or you may purchase the wristbands on

the night for $30 each. Individual rides will also be available at $5 per ride.

Pre-ordered tickets must be paid for by Wednesday, 27 November 2019.

P&C Family Fun Night Raffle

The P&C have organised a fantastic raffle with amazing prizes to win. Each family will receive 20 tickets

with the option to sell or purchase them. The tickets will be sent home on Monday with your child. The

raffle will be drawn at the Family Fun Night on Friday, 29 November.

YEAR 6 FIRST AID COURSE

Thank you to the P&C for giving the Year 6 students the opportunity to be exposed to CPR and general

First Aid procedures. They learnt some really important skills with real life scenarios and had a great time

working together.

The P&C meeting is held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm in the staffroom. All welcome

to attend.

The next meeting however will be Wednesday, 27th November due to a clash with COSfest.

Uniform Shop

Open every Friday morning from 8:45am – 9:15am or you may place an order at the school office.

Kindergarten 2020 - parents of kindergarten students with older siblings already at the school can beat

the queues by purchasing their uniform supplies on a Friday morning rather than on orientation days.

Due to low demand, it is not financially viable for the Uniform Shop to supply all uniform items. The following
