Your support and interest in the school on these occasions is greatly appreciated. Sincere thanks go to the exiting St Paul’s School Board members, Jill Baroni, Olga Biundo and Emma Gregory for their service this year. I would like to welcome the new Board members for 2016, Suzanne Woods, Angelina Bowden-Jones, Kirsten Dechan and Luka Margaretic. Emma Crean, Simon Borck, Milaika Jordan and Nola McIntyre will remain on the Board in 2016. We appreciate the generosity of these people for their willingness to share of their time and efforts for the good of the school community. There will also be a change on the P&F executive committee next year. Our appreciation goes to the departing executive members, Clare Salfinger (President), Suzanne Woods (Deputy President), Rebekah Hampson (Secretary) and Kellie McElligott (Treasurer). We congratulate them on their great achievements and thank them for their commitment and hard work during their time on the P&F. We congratulate Juliet Bruining for taking on the role of P&F President next year. So far, the rest of the P&F Executive Committee consists of Lina Coletti (secretary), Heather Allingame and Emma Gregory (general members). We thank these wonderful people for giving of their time and efforts for the benefit of the school. Please note that the P&F are still seeking a Vice President, a Board P&F Rep and a Treasurer. Our Bursar, Virginia Thomas, has kindly offered some training and any assistance needed for the person who takes on the role of Treasurer. Please let us know if you could possibly fill one of these positions. Reconciliation Congratulations to the children who are making their first Reconciliation tonight. It will be a beautiful liturgy, followed by an opportunity for the children and adults to make their Reconciliation, with Fr Tim or one of the visiting priests, who have kindly offered their services. We hope that the children will avail themselves of this healing Sacrament throughout their lives. Our thanks go to Irene Pangestu and Fr Tim for preparing the children for this sacrament. Kindy Concert Next Thursday, 3 December, at 10.00am in the Heritage Hall, the Kindy have their end of year concert and morning tea for their parents. It is heart-warming to see their happy, little faces as they perform for their parents. The children have come a long way since the start of the year and are now truly ready for Pre Primary. Well done to Mac Callisto, Mary Kerrigan and Connie Mezzatesta, for ensuring that the children had a wonderful year in Kindy this year. IT NEWS

Library

This term we have been playing with the iPad app Aurasma, an augmented reality app which turns everyday objects and images into interactive opportunities by embedding, images, audio and video. This term the Year 5 students have been creating interactive book reviews. As a class, we looked at what factors and vocabulary needed to be considered to create an amazing review. The class then reviewed the books they were reading and designed poster reports. From there we used the Library iPads to create videos and embed them into the posters. The posters are on display in the Library. Come in, grab an iPad, and check out the recommendations of the Fab Fives!
