About this Pages to Word / PDF tool

Pages is Apple's word processor, and its .pages format is a package format that Windows and Android simply can't open. Every day, students and job applicants are sent .pages files they cannot read — and Mac users send them without realising.

Modern .pages files are ZIP packages that include a full PDF preview of the document (that's how Quick Look shows them). This tool looks inside the package in your browser: if the embedded preview is present, you get the document exactly as the author saw it, downloadable as PDF. The document text is also extracted so you can copy it straight into Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

Why can't Windows open .pages files?
