    Sounds of Silence

An exhibition of photographs by Archana Vikram

Sounds of Silence is a series of largely black-and-white images exploring the energy,

complexity and individuality of surroundings, objects and subjects that embody silence, in all its

    variety.

More than simply being photographic representations of what the lens captures, the images in

Sounds of Silence are unique and subjective interpretations, infused with Archanas intimate

    connection to The Silence.

In the summer of 2009, in the province of Viterbo in central Italy; in what seemed a world away

from home (Bangalore, India), she began to photograph evocative imagery that spoke volumes

soundlessly. The desire was instinctive and almost bizarre. It remains an ongoing project. A part

of this series will be showcased at the Gallerie Michelangelo in Firenze, Italy in December, 2012.

Archana feels fortunate to have been guided & mentored by photographer Patrick Nicholas

(based in London & Italy) and artist & photographer David Hoptman (Based in Santa Barbara,

    CA, USA).

    THEATER

Premiere of P.S. I dont LOVE YOU

    By We move Theater

    1st

    November

    At ---PMAUDITORIUM, AFB

The play revolves around A couple everyone envies! They have everything in common; just theperfect families, perfect age and head over heels in love probably a match made in heaven. On

their way to a pompous marriage, a customary mushy honeymoon, jubilant households and "A

Happily Ever after", hell breaks out! The girl gets a brainwave from the same heavens! A strong

jolt, a sudden-strong-stable realization of perfection being the ultimate flaw, calmness being

the utter boredom and an impulsive compulsion for an adrenaline rush. Embarking on this

journey sans an adventure seems such a clich. Not something "every" girl dreams of.

them, but his vacillation only adds fuel to the blazing row!

What follows, is seriously funny, the story will make you chuckle, nod in serious agreement, and

is set in Bangalore during 1898. A plague breaks out. Thousands die. The state assumes

overarching powersunder the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897. Using these powers, the state in

effect gives birth to anew city. Entire areas are cleared out in the name of decongestion. New
