Denton Public Library card holders and the general public are invited to the library’s classes and events. Registration required for some programs so that the library can assure it has adequate seating, supplies and/or refreshments. Attendance sometimes is limited by the size of the venue.When registration required, you can call (940) 349-8752 unless another contact

is listed. In some cases, free tickets are distributed one hour prior to a program, at the hosting library. This is common when attendance historically has filled a venue to capacity.We also ask that individuals with special needs and groups of six or more call before an event so that we can provide the best possible library experience.

The Forge is Denton Public Library’s new technology makerspace. Makerspaces are areas designated for collaboration and creativity.

Located at the North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St., The Forge is home to a collection of powerful computer hardware and state-of-the-art software, two 3D printers, and other peripherals for recording and editing sound and video. It also includes Arduino kits, digital drawing/tracing pads and a number of other features.

In addition to the classes listed here, Forge staff take suggestions from customers and will offer other programs from time to time. For Forge hours of operation, availability, and our current program lineup, please check our website, www.dentonpl.com/forge.
