This design allows for the building to act as a hybrid between a library and community center. The circular core allows for ideal supervision as well as doubling as a unique display space that allows for local art to be showcased and easily interchanged. Bringing positive purpose to the community.

The Kennel Ellis building was built in The Kennel Ellis building was built in 1940 and still stands in Eugene as a his-torically landmarked building. The design proposal was to transform the building into an inspiring, functional food incuba-tor. The interior reflects the 1940’s

facade, embracing bright colors, enticing textures and an inspiring atmosphere to cook and promote in. The kitchen, as an interactive teaching tool, is central to this scheme. It provides a focal point in the space and acts as an attention grabbing and informative bridge between the com-munity and the incubator’s supporting

spaces.

SEASONALCULTURE

This terraced design respects the constantly changing be-havior of the Roman Tiber River, allowing parts of the structure to be accessed during all times of the year, re-gardless of water level. Primarily a place that is intended to house temporary modern art installations, the structure itself is a sculptural work of art, embracing the beauty found in simple geometries that create both open and enclosed spaces, creating unique experiences every time

visitors encounter the space.

This house is designed by a studio of 14 students for a low income family with the intent of the profits made from this house to be taken and put into the building of the next. The driving force behind this house was to create a space that feels designed and not part of a low-income housing project. Construction is to start January 15, 2013 where students will work together to make the design phase a reality.
