"An angel of The Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call HIs name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

5MUSIC

The Music Ministry of Taylor Road Baptist Church is as active as ever this fall semester with preparations for this year’s Christmas programs.

The Adult Choir will be sharing “Christmas Reections” this year during the morning worship time on December 8. Come with family, friends and neighbors to see and hear holiday memories as we focus on the manger and our precious Savior who was born there.

The TRBC Bell ringers, who meet each Sunday evening at 4:00 p.m. in room B-202, have been working hard for their upcoming City Tour 2013. The tour kicks o with the bells playing in the Grand Foyer on December 15 between 10:15 – 10:30 a.m. After the Morning Worship Service, they’ll be o to ring in several locations about the Montgomery area.

The graded choirs (Pre School, Children, & Student) will share a variety of seasonal songs during the Evening Service on December 15 at 6:30 p.m. Some of those selections will be from “Visions of Christmas”, a children’s music project written by acclaimed Vacation Bible School song writer, Je Slaughter.

The Annual Christmas Eve service will take place in the Worship center at 5:00 p.m. This has proved over the years to be a terric time to bring those “out of town” guests together with the TRBC family as we pause to ruminate on God’s plan of salvation - His Son, Jesus, coming to Earth to be the Christ of Christmas.

AGAPE RUNSave the Date! Just as your New Year's resolve for a more-healthy and t lifestyle is beginning to wane, we will have a great opportunity to share in a fun and worthwhile event as a church family. The 2nd Annual AGAPE (Love) Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014—That’s right, it is the day after Valentine’s Day and the same weekend as Disciple Now. Plans are made to incorporate both of these events into the race weekend so the entire church family can be involved!

The AGAPE Run/Walk is an outreach of Taylor Road Baptist Church to provide encouragement and nancial support among brothers and sisters in Christ. "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35) This year’s theme is “Show Love.” All the proceeds of this year's event will benet one of our own TRBC families...The Eaves. Mike, Bonnie, Anna, Cecil, Sarah Janice and Mattie are committed members of our family. In July 2011, Bonnie was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer that, unbeknownst to her, would begin a process of cancer movement through her body. After surgery and two years of treatment, Bonnie is now undergoing “preventative chemo” and holding tight to God’s promise in 1 Thessalonians 5:24. God has laid on the hearts of His people the desire to stand with them, prayerfully and nancially, as they continue this journey. With recent employment challenges for Mike, this is an opportunity for us as a church family to minister.

This year’s event includes a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk and 1 mile "fun" run/walk. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate. We encourage participants to wear love-themed costumes to add to the festive nature of the day's activities. For those who don't want to run or walk: We are prayerfully and vigorously seeking sponsors to cover all event expenses, including the costs of awards and prizes, time-keeping, t-shirts, and nourishment. Also, we need volunteers to help with set-up, on-site registration, course assistance, medical support, nish-line activities, and after-race clean up. Most importantly, we need prayer warriors!

You may contact any AGAPE Run/Walk committee member - Audra Pfannkuche, Michael & Lisa Jones, David & Ruth Givens, Michele & Laura Vermillion, Heidi Bowers and Sandy Saxon - to let us know how you can help or to get more information, or you may send requests for more information by e-mail to: [email protected]. Registration for the AGAPE Run/Walk is available through the Active.com website (www.active.com). Additionally, registration forms are available in the Church Oce or can be downloaded from the Church's website (www.taylorroad.org). Plan now to gather with your family, friends, or Sunday School class for this fun and purposeful event to “SHOW LOVE”!

LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING"Totally His, His Heart, Hands, VoiceNational goal, $175 million, our goal, $24,000.It is our great privilege to give to this special oering named in honor of a missionary to China who gave up her food that her converts may survive and live. This is the greatest mission oering for International Missions in the world. Our goal is only $24,000, and I believe that we can reach our goal and more as we give sacricially that others may hear the gospel message of Jesus Christ. I encourage each family to pray about this oering and let your gift be the largest Christmas gift that you give this year. The cause and call for International Missions has never been greater. Lets reach our goal and go beyond in showing our love for the Savior. Our gifts may make the dierence in an Unreached People Group hearing the gospel this next year.

New Adult Bible Class to Begin In JanuaryOn Sunday, January 12, a new adult Bible class will be oered at 5:30 p.m. This class is open to all adults, especially those adults who serve in other areas of ministry on Sunday mornings.
