Hello!
Alot has happened since our last
newsletter! Recruitment is going
strongly – and the LC is coming
together to help Amy and the RTF team
reach their Recruitment goals of 60
Applications. This is great to see!
It’s also great to hear members pushing
their boundaries when it comes to their
public speaking skills and sales skills
by attending stalls and lecture bashing.
I remember the adrenaline rush when I
did my first lecture bash, it’s hard to
shake off.
Last week in the LCP corner I spoke of
a Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Local
Committee. This week I want to get
down and personal with you all. That’s
right, let’s take a little stroll down the
road of reflection... *Que Peaceful Enya

When I was a member/team leader I
never really knew what paths I could
take within my AIESEC Experience
until one of the Executive Board
leaders (in 2009) shoved an opportunity
in my face telling me to apply or step up,
usually explaining some good trait
about myself that connected to the
activity or role. I don’t think this is good
enough.
This is why the Executive Board will be
hosting AIESEC Member Reviews
which will be held on Sunday
18th Mar to hear about your AIESEC
experience and to discuss
future action steps you need to take in
order to get the development you
require from AIESEC. These
recommendations include;
- To Re-sit an AIESEC Induction Seminar
- Become an AIESEC Alumni
- To Apply for Community Development Program
- To Apply for a Leadership Program
- To Attend an AIESEC Conference
- To Switch Portfolios
Review meetings occur in the corporate
environment whenever you ask for a
promotion, a pay rise or feedback on
how you’re going on the job. These
small one on one meetings can help
you improve and get you to understand
where you need to work harder both
personally and professionally. So do
your AIESEC experience a favour and
sign yourself into an interview (Link
provided on Internal Facebook Page)
This will be a great opportunity to learn
how you can minimise your
weaknesses and build your strengths
so you can become a Harder, Better,
Faster, Stronger you!

Attention
Hey AIESEC, LCM/RCM is an important and compulsory
function of AIESEC. Attending LCM will help you understand what
has been going on in the LC during the week, get trained under
specific topics, build up your skills like communication, active
listening, participating, etc and make friends.
Please arrange your time and make an effort to attend LCM on
every Wednesday.
New policy of AIESEC Curtin is if you miss 3 LCM/RCM during a
semester, then you would immediately receive inactive mode and in
danger of dismissal of AIESEC.
LCM every Wednesday, 5.30-7.30pm
Location 201.413
RCM will replace LCM once a month and take turn at Curtin and
UWA (last time RCM was held at Curtin so the next RCM, which is
on March, will be held at UWA)
AIESEC member review is essential for the Executive
Board to look at what members have get out of AIESEC through their
6-12 month experience.
Each member will sit an interview of 30 minutes conducted by the
whole EB, alumni and UWA's EB. Basically, we will just test your
AIESEC knowledge, skills and listen to your feedback of AIESEC
Curtin, and we want to know you better too. Based on this, the EB can
have a fair assessment of the current members and provide tailored
recommendation and guidance for the next step in your AIESEC
experiences.
