Hello AIESECers across the globe Greetings from AIESEC Chandigarh, India. Through this Newsletter, we at AIESEC Chandigarh would firstly like to thank you for the support and trust you and the AIESEC network have shown towards our local chapter and would like to congratulate you all for being part of our success in the year 2010. In the year 2011, AIESEC Chandigarh starts afresh with new thoughts, perspective and a greater determination to do more. Today, we stand on a threshold so as to make a bigger difference for the youth in our society through AIESEC , to deliver more AIESEC experiences and to do more for AIESEC in our city.

For AIESEC Chandigarh, success has come by hard work, passion, determination and exemplary leadership in the form of past LCPs, who are now leading teams and operations for AIESEC at different levels and also Executive Body's who lived the 6 AIESEC values with undiluted passion everyday. We, here at AIESEC Chandigarh, are determined to deliver life changing experiences and every year we have challenged the status quo simply to prove that "it can be done.". Everyday, we make a conscious effort to deliver to the 6 AIESEC values but on the way everyone makes mistakes, but only wise ones learn from their mistakes and come out winners.

India is a very diverse nation in itself and North India is one of the most majestic, unique and beautiful parts of India. Being from North India, we carry a rich culture of being passionate (eg: cricket!), aggressive (in action) and very much driven by ambition and emotion. At the same time, we are humble, hospitable, proud of the land we belong to and our culture drives us deeply in the way we are in our reality and the kind of things we do. Chandigarh EPs are the product of a unique recipe that includes

these important components: the typical Punjabi mentality, which

The year 2011 has brought a lot of changes in the working of the Local Chapter. Starting from the processes involved in exchange to the way we handle our projects.

In 2010, we ended up delivering great quality experiences and now, with the number of exchanges that we wish to do in the year 2011, we have introduced Team Leader-Exchange Delivery with which we guarantee effective Intern Management in the LC .

Delivery Structure in the LC – Team Leaders for Delivery in ICX & OGX are in place where Intern Reception, Involvement and Integration is taken care by Team Leader – Exchange Delivery (for ICX) and EP Induction & Preparation is taken care of by a Team Leader- Exchange Delivery (for OGX) specifically.

We also have proper documentation in place regarding Delivery which Includes Trainee Apartment Contracts, Reception Toolkits, Expectation Setting documents which have been uploaded on www.myaiesec.net and we encourage everyone to go through it while matching.

AIESEC Chandigarh Initiatives in 2011

For Better Quality EPs, we hosted an Exchange Participant Induction Conference. 110 EPs AttendedALL EPs are inducted into AIESEC in Chandigarh.EPs are well prepared before they leave for Internship to ensure proper expectation setting & avoid potential problems for Host Country. We assure Excellent, well trained EPs of diverse backgrounds in 2011.

AIESEC Chandigarh has decided to make July as the Trainee month, where in we plan to indulge the trainees into various events like Global Villages, Cultural Lunch, Trainee sports days, Movie days and much more which will help them to get a glimpse of the real Indian Culture.

Exchange Participant Induction Conference

Trainee Corner

implies inquisitiveness, flexibility and persistent work

for achieving excellent results combined with a high quality preparation, clear expectations and goal setting from the LC side.
