Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow On August 28, 1996, parishioners gathered and bagpipes played as 258 children entered their new school for the first time. Twenty years later, with an enrollment more than double that of opening day, our National Blue Ribbon School continues to provide faith formation and academic excellence to our parish children. This would not be possible without the generous support of the members of Saint Brigid of Kildare Parish. We are thankful for our parishioners for all they do to help our community; we are grateful for their prayers and contributions, their time and their talent. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we would like to thank Saint Brigid of Kildare Parish for giving thousands of children the gift of a Catholic education.

Catholic Faith Formation

Every day at Saint Brigid of Kildare School our students and staff have the opportunity to pray,

learn, and play in an environment that reflects the presence of God. The joy of being Catholic is

evident in all aspects of our parish school, from the physical environment to the playground, from

the bulletin boards to the music classes, from the students’ garden to the cafeteria, from the teams

playing sports to the teams working on math problems.

Our Catholic school is built on the cornerstone of faith and reason; this sets us apart from all other

educational options available to families in our community.

Academic Excellence

At Saint Brigid of Kildare School, we embrace the challenge to be innovative and to keep pace with

the evolving tools of technology. We are inspiring our students to be members of the global

community, while at the same time still valuing the Catholic traditions and teachings of their parish

and school.

In the fall of 2014, Saint Brigid of Kildare School was named a National Blue Ribbon School for the

second time. Saint Brigid of Kildare is the only school in the state of Ohio to receive a second

nomination in the last ten years. Saint Brigid of Kildare received the award in the high-performing

schools category, which includes schools that have achieved among the highest scores in both

reading and math as measured by state or national standard tests in the most recent year

tested, regardless of student demographics. Our school’s 2016

test scores again qualify for Blue Ribbon School status. Schools

are only allowed to apply for the award once every five years.

Our Tomorrow

Catholic schools are doing more with less funding than public schools, and our students are

consistently performing at the top of all academic categories nationwide. These children are the

future of a strong Catholic Church and a strong country.

The Saint Brigid of Kildare School endowment fund was created in 2012 to establish our own

independent financial model to sustain the ever-increasing costs of Catholic education. We are

committed to providing a Catholic education to every member of our parish who seeks it,

regardless of financial ability, and to creating a future for our children for years to come.

Endowment gifts will allow us to keep tuition at an affordable level and to serve all parish families

who hope for a Catholic education for their children.
