Reading
Read, read, read…every day at home too. Try to read a
variety of books. You might want to read to a friend,
sibling or to an adult.
Read for at least 20 minutes each day. Once
completed, colour in the face.

Using the planning sheet, research, plan and write a
persuasive piece of writing.

Research and write two new facts about rhinos
each day

Think about the different ways heat can be pro-
duced by different heat sources (electricity, burning
and friction). Remember heat can move from one
object to another.

Mapping – Compass – North Point

We can use a compass to help us find places. A compass shows north, east,south and west. Just the first letter is used on a compass. The movingpointer always points to North. The North Point is always marked on a map.
Add the other letters to the compass. Put the words in the correct spaces. North, East, South, West.
There are more points to a compass than just North, East, South and West. Can you add four more points to the compass? The North Point on a map can be as simple or fancy as the map designer chooses. Here are some examples.
