15.6.20 Week 11 Home learning Grid Primary 4 Literacy Numeracy Spelling: Choose 6 words from the spelling list ‘-le/-able’ on this week’s spelling worksheet. Write them 3 times using the look, say, cover, write and check method. Writing: Describe your dream holiday. Write about a dream holiday you would like to go on. Think about: Where you would like to go? Who you would like to go with? Check over your writing making sure every sentence makes sense and that you have explained why you want to go there. The Loch Ness Monster.

The Loch Ness Monster, also referred to as Nessie, is a supposed animal, said to live in the Scottish loch of Loch Ness, the second biggest in the country. TASK

Go outdoors once a day and have some fun. Why not go for a colour walk, number walk, shape walk or do a

treasure hunt.

Build a den/fort Build a den/fort in your home using things from around your home. For example, you might use pillows, a duvet, cushions, chairs. Once completed, spend some time in your den reading or playing a game.

Example of how to make a treasure hunt

1. Choose 10 things that you are going to hide. E.g 2p coins. 2. Start with a clue on how to find the first 2p coin. E.g I am somewhere

were you would sleep. 3. Hide the coin somewhere on your bed. 4. Write another clue and leave it beside the coin on your bed. E.g I am

where you sit to watch the TV. (hide a coin on the couch and the next clue beside it).

5. Continue to do this for each coin. 6. With the last coin leave a note congratulating them for completing the

hunt.

Colour, shape or object Walk

1. Decide on what you are going to look for on your walk. 2. Take a photograph of things in that colour or write them down on a piece

of paper. 3. At the end of your walk, count how many things you have seen.
