Installation in general 1. Jet takes small space from engine compartment. However it can be integrated deeper into the

boat hull. 2. Very quick installation in serial production. Installation template shape is in the hull mould. The jet

can be installed also into one-off boats. 3. Compact structure, no complicated adjustments. 4. Standard coupling flange is DIN-150, adapters for different intermediate shafts are available.

Bearings and main shaft 1. In the front end there is axial thrust bearing that carries loads in both directions. The same

bearing carries also radial loads.

a) Mechanical sealing in the inlet side. Long life time. b) Oil lubrication, oil circulates through the reservoir when main shaft rotates. Impurities are gathered in the

reservoir. c) Very easy to maintain, long service intervals.

2. In the rear end there is grease lubricated needle roller bearing.

a) Lubrication machine as a standard, filling interval circa. 300h. Lubrication channel leads from engine compartment to rear bearing housing.

b) Shaft seals are protected against over pressure. c) Very easy to maintain. Long service intervals. No problems of abrasive materials like with water lubricated

bearings. d) In the end of the shaft there is slide bushing that can be replaced if worn. e) Water lubricated bearing can be used also.

3. To prevent lines and ropes to cut in the main shaft hole in the inlet, there is contra-thread on the shaft.

Steering and control 1. For steering there is mechanical levers and shaft-system. Steering lever can be moved

mechanically by cable, hydraulic or electrical device.

a) Lever is fixed on the shaft with taper bush. position can be chosen freely. b) Grease lubricated lead-in in the transom for steering shaft. c) Steering nozzle works perfectly due to fin in the centerline. It is not in the free flow when going straight

forward so it does not cause resistance. Steering is very exact also at slow speed.

2. Reverse deflector hydraulic system is controlled mechanically by cable.

a) Reverse deflector is rugged aluminum casting. b) Very powerfull, flow is devided in the both channels. c) Compact hydraulic system, pump as a standard. Cylinder is developed by Alamarin-Jet. d) Very easy to adjust.

Impeller

1. Impeller tunnel is stainless steel cone. Very durable structure. Steel cone is joint casted. 2. Impeller material is AISI316 stainless steel 3. Clearance is easy and quick to adjust because of conical tunnel. 4. Impeller is electrically separated from the jet structure because it is attached to shaft with

plastic taper sleeve less sensitive to galvanic corrosion. 5. Flexible tuning of the jet for different engines and applications by changing the impeller

diameter. 6. Intake protected with screen which prevents too big objects to enter the inlet and thus

protects impeller of damages.

Inspections hatch

1. Blockages are possible to remove through the inspections hatch which is outside of the boat due to safety reasons; leakage will not sink the boat.

Corrosion protection 1. Three layer painting on aluminum parts.

a) Salt water immersion and mechanical abrasion resistant, hard epoxypainting. b) Pre-treatment ensures the paint adhesion to aluminum.

2. Cathodic protection prevents galvanic corrosion destroying effect. (in picture some anodes are pointed).

a) Zinc anodes are placed evenly to cover all areas inside and outside of the unit. b) Zinc replacement is easy job. Inside anodes can be changed without disassembling the unit.

Raw water cooling for engine 1. There are two water intakes in the unit as a standard. Very effective cooling can be achieved. 2. Pressure is ~4 bars at maximum. Water intake can be used also for washing and flushing

purposes.
