Detail Description

MOSFET Output

PowerMate 15 has 16 MOSFET Outputs which are rated at 25 Ampere each maximum. All switchescan only Switched to Battery. Each Output is double protected by hardware and software, PowerMate 15 can shut down the MOSFET in case of over-current, and in case of software exception the fuse will be blown to protect the circuit from further damages.

Default Software Setting will switch OFF the MOSFET within 300ms in case of an over-current event. This is programmable to change from 100ms to 3s. For other trip-over values, please consult our sales.

Binary Input

PowerMate 15 has 16 Binary Inputs which are capable of reading Digital High / Low Input. Each Binary Input can be configured as STG Active / STB Active independently:

1. STG Active regards GND as logic “1” input and regards VDD (7-30V) as “0” input.

2. STB Active regards GND as logic “0” input and regards VDD (7-30V) as “1” input.

• ALL Binary Input default configured as STB Active inputs.

Binary Input Model:

When the Pull-Up is set to pull to GND, it can prevent false trigger in case there is water leakage which short the input to the GND. That also prevents the input to be used as one wire low water probe which short to chassis ground through water. Instead, floating micro-switch or 2 wire resistivesensors should be used instead.

Analog Input

PowerMate 15 has 6 Analog Inputs, 4 of them are Resistive Inputs (AN1 - 4) and 2 of them are Voltage Inputs (AN5 - 6).

1. Resistive Input can handles resistive input from 0 – 5k ohm.

• AN1 default configured for 4k ohm resistive input.

• AN2 default configured for 4k ohm resistive input.

• AN3 default configured for 4k ohm resistive input.

• AN4 default configured for 4k ohm resistive input.

2. Voltage Input can handle voltage input from 0 – 30V.

• AN5 / AN6 default configured for 30V input as maximum. Sensitivity of these analog channels can be further improved by decreasing the voltage input range.

3. Monitor VDDA and VDDB inputs.

AIN1/AS1/AIN2/AS2. User must put the jumper caps back on once their finish the configuration.

OmniBus Interface

PowerMate 15 has one RS-485 channel. It can communicate with other PowerMate Series Digital Switching System using OmniBus Interface.

• PowerMate 15 default configured to communicate at 9600 bps (9600, 8-N-1).

• User can retreieve system status such as output pin condition, input pin conditions, current status, analog input values as well as battery status.

CAN Interface

PowerMate 15 has one CAN channel. It can communicate with other PowerMate Series Digital Switching System using CAN Interface.

• PowerMate 15 default configured to communicate at 250kbps.

• PowerMate 15 supports J1939 Protocol, and would be able to intercept packages such as CCVS (Vehicle Speed), ENG_RPM (Engine Rate per Minute).

• Common Status that would be able to get from CAN Bus include:

◦ Vehicle Speed

◦ Engine Rate per Minute

◦ Park Brake

◦ Gear Position

• Further customization is possible to suit client's needs.
