6thGrade Science

 

1) Materials for class:

● 1 pencil

● Agenda

● A 3-ring binder (This may have all subjects or just science)

● iPad

2) When arriving to class you must;

a.) BE ON TIME, with all of above materials when you arrive to class.

b.) See the board for tasks and assignments to complete.

3) Homework:

Homework is posted daily on the board. Assignments are to be written in your agenda/iPad

as soon as you sit down. These assignments will count as part of your final grade.

Homework is an important part of introducing and reviewing important material, so put your

best efforts into it.

4) If you are absent;

In the event that you are absent it is YOUR responsibility to check in with me when you

return to makeup your work.

5) Quizzes/Tests:

There will be quizzes and tests given for each of the units that we explore. A neat and

organized science binder/iPad will help you study for these assessments.

6) Projects/ Lab Reports:

Science is all about hands-on learning. Therefore, there will be many opportunities for you

to work on projects and labs, both individually and in groups. Many of these count as part of

your final grade as well.

7) Classroom Behavior:

The overall principles that govern my classroom are RESPECT and a POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

This includes respect for the classroom and its materials, your peers, your teachers and

finally yourself!

Positive behavior includes making the best of your day, no matter the circumstance. We all

have “bad days”, but it’s what you make of it that counts. Do your best to stay motivated and I

will do my best to support you!!

8) iPad:

This is an exciting educational tool for you to have! Remember that all classroom teachers

expect you to use the iPad strictly for educational purposes only. Always ask a teacher if you

need help or you are unsure if you are allowed to do something.
