94 of the Enforcement Regulations for ForeignExchange Control Law (Ministry of FinanceOrdinance No. 10, 1941) or of Article 7 of theOrdinance concerning the Control of FinancialTransactions pertaining to the Import and Ex-port of Gold, Silver and Securities (Ministry ofFinance Ordinance No. 88, 1945), the restrictionsand reports as prescribed by these Ordinancesshall be exempted in the following cases. Thisshall apply as from June 3, 1949:


1. In the case where the refundment is madeof part of savings deposited in the followingareas or in Manchuria with a postal savingspassbook (excepting a war postal savingspassbook) which the Japanese Governmentissued in Japan, Saghalien, the Kurile Islands,the Bonin Islands, the Io Islands, the DaitoIslands, Okitori Island, South Torishima, NakaTorishima, Takeshima, the South Sea Islands,the Southwest Islands (only those south of lat.SON), Korea, Formosa, the Kwantung pro-vince or in North China; provided that therefundment is limited to those depositedbefore September 30, 1945.

2. In the case where the refundment is madeof the savings of a war postal savings pass-book which was imported to Japan ; provided

that with respect to the retundment of savingsdeposited in the fieldvpost office or in thenaval post office, those deposited prior toAugust 15, 1945 shall be refunded in full andthose after August 16, 1945, shall be limitedto less than ¥1,500 for each person.

In the case where a Japanese returningJapan receives payment with a yen postalannuity certificate which was issued by theJapanese Government and which was author-ized to import.
