To inquire into the trade dispute declared by the Nigerian National Press Workers’ Union against the_ Federal Ministry of Information in accordance with section 4 (1) of the Trade Disputes (Emergency* Provisions) (Amendment) Decree 1969 over the followingissues:

(a) Demandfor retirement or otherwise reinstatement of workers of the now defunct NigerianNational Press in accordance with Decree No. 11 of 1969 and Government Notice No. 209 of 1969 whichclassified thePress as a Statutory Corporation and its workers as pensionable public servants,

(6) Refund ofthe N.P.F. deductions made from the workers’ salaries, and

(c) Members of the Union who were transferred into the Government Press should be treated as ifthey had had a departmental transfer, and should retain their former salaries and seniority in service.”
