Honorary Member Lorraine Thomas Dies

American Dietetic Association Honor-ary Member Lorraine Thomas passedaway on August 5, 2011. Thomas wasSpecial Assistant to the Executive Di-rector of the ADA. In the citation rec-ognizing her honorary membership in1984, Thomas was honored for herdedication and loyalty to the AmericanDietetic Association, her 19 years ofservice in the executive office at ADAheadquarters, her ability to contributeaccurate historic information and valu-able perspectives essential for decisionmaking, her effective support of theBoard of Directors, and her longstand-ing and faithful service to the profes-sion of dietetics. Thomas, a lifelongChicago resident, was 88 years old.
