    Configure File HistoryTo configure the File History feature:

    1. From the Start screen, type File History, andthen click Settings.

    2. Click File History and the File History sectionof the Control Panel opens on the desktop.

    3. Click Select Drive and the Select a FileHistory Drive window opens.

    4. Either select your external drive or choose anetwork share to use as your File HistoryDrive and Click OK.

    Restoring Filesand Folders

    To restore files and folders from your File Historydrive:

    1. From the Start screen, type Restore, and thenclick Settings.

    2. Click Restore your files with File History and theFile History Home screen opens on theWindows 8 desktop.

    3. Click the relevant file or folder to restore andthen click on the Green Button in the middle of

    the bottom of the window. This restores thechosen files and folders to their originallocations.

    A restore point is the bookmark for that pointin time.

    Some restore points are created

    automatically. It is possible to create and configure your

    own restore points.

    To configure a file restore point:

    1. From the Start screen, type Restore Point,and then click Settings.

    2. Click Create and enter a title for the restorepoint.

    3. Click Create again.

    4. The restore point is created.
