Let’s make an extra effort this morning to encourage someone as we worship together. May we honor God and glorify him in all that we do today. One of the best ways we can show our love and encourage one another is by lifting each other up to God in prayer. We had the privilege of being able to do that last Sunday morning at second service. Our sister, Sandy Penner, came asking for prayers for strength for her family as they deal with a difficult situa- tion. Please continue to pray for John and Sandy and their entire family while they rally around their daughter, Julian, as she goes through some dark times in her life. We are grateful to be able to pray to a God who offers hope when things seem hopeless. If you are not currently attending a class, why don’t you make that a priority at the beginning of this new year. I want to personally encourage you to be here during class time next Sunday morning as our elders present the “2019 State of the Congregation” presentation. Our church family is embarking on some very exciting times here at Sunset! I know that each of you will be encouraged in the weeks to come as we begin our “One Another” series on Sunday mornings. We look forward to Phillip’s lesson this morning as he shares with us the importance of loving one anoth- er. As we continue focusing on our theme for 2019 of “Replanting Sunset: Growing Together,” continue praying to ask how you can be a part of this ex- citing year. To God be the glory!
