Mary Robinson received good news recently – both cancers are in remission.
Bonnie Gentry spent several days at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, but is now back home recuperating.
Frequent visitor Nita Johnson is in Mercy ICU with a high fever and some sort of infection. No visitors, but prayers and cards would be welcome. Donna Massey saw her wound Dr. on Thursday and there is some improvement. She will see a Dr. again on August 2nd.

Welcome to Sunset this morning! It’s a wonder-ful blessing when we have the opportunity to be together. May God, be glorified through our time of prayer and worship. May God bless us as a body of believers as we unite and lift our voices in praise to him. And as on any Lord’s day, let us focus on our Savior as we connect and encourage one another.
Last Sunday we had the honor of praying for our brother Frank Gil-more concerning his desire to spread the gospel. This morning you and your family may come hurting. The hardships and struggles of this life can be overwhelming. Make your requests known to God, share your concerns, or make a prayer request. God is with you, he provides healing, comfort and the strength you need. Trust in his de-liverance.
Our study through the book of Acts has been uplifting as we have learned several encouraging insights into the early church. The cour-age and boldness of the disciples stands out as they stood up for their beliefs in the face of peril and persecution. Upon seeing Jesus’ ascension, the disciples were compelled to share all of these things. They could not keep silent about our Lord. It can be challenging as we think about sharing our faith. Remember, the apostles started with a prayer for boldness in Acts 4:29. Keep this in mind this week.
Thank you for being here today. I hope and pray you’ll be encour-aged for the week ahead.
