Welcome to Sunset! What a thrill to see the growing mountain of paper goods in the lobby this morning. These supplies will be going to help the families at Fair Haven Children’s Home. Thanks to all of you who made donations to this worthy cause.
Last Sunday we prayed for Bryan Selvidge who recently lost his job and is looking for another and for Lisa Lewis who has struggles with depression. Your support of them in prayer is wonderful. Then on Monday evening Jennifer Dakin was baptized here at the building. She has been attending here for some time and we are thrilled with her decision. Welcome our new sister in the Lord!
Tonight will be a special celebration in which Sunset and the three churches that have been planted will be meeting under one roof to celebrate what God has done through these church plants. We will be meeting in Union Hill’s new auditorium and Joe Brumfield, the minister of the Jackson St. congregation, will be the speaker. What a great opportunity to see old friends again and to honor God together in this joint worship service. If you would like to ride the van, be sure and put your name on the list on the bulletin board. (There will still be a service here at Sunset for those who are unable to go to Nixa.)
We have now completed our sermon series on “Christian Evidences” on Sunday nights and in October will begin a Sunday night series on “The Church”. Have a great week . . .
Joe

CREW Notes –
Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV) Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Have a great week! In Him,
Chris & Amanda
