Carolyn Collins is in Mercy Rm 6202 and had an MRI Thursday verifying she had had a stroke.

Jackie Farrell is in Mercy Rm 3256. She is being treated for dehydration. Rhonda Christopher has been discharged from the hospital. She may

have additional treatment at a later date. Gary Welborn remains in Cox S. CV-ICU #5 following heart surgery. No

visits, please, but continued prayers are appreciated. Hillard Story has been admitted to the hospital with fluid in his lungs.

Please, no visits at this time. Linda Chambliss had a procedure to drain her right lung Monday. Jim Andrews is now home recovering from hip replacement surgery. He

has had relief from hip pain, but is a little shortness of breath. Fred Burns, son-in-law of Noel and Betty Davis, began chemo on

Wednesday. David Jenkins’ sister, Ruth Uhls, is hospitalized in Belleville, Ill, in grave

condition.

P S : The friends and family of Bruce Story who passed away Sunday from complications following knee surgery. Ar-

rangements are pending. Also to the friends and family to former member James (Jim) Sutton who passed away last week. Funeral services were held yesterday in Elijah Missouri. Also to the friends and family of former member Joyce Fadler who passed away Thursday. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, at 2pm, in Carthage MO.

Welcome to Sunset! Today we again have the privilege of "Entering into His courts with thanksgiving in our hearts". As we prepare to celebrate a national day of Thanksgiving, it is nice to remember that we, as Christians, fill every day with gratitude.

Yesterday friends and family of Doyal and Ruth Lindsey gathered to witness the renewal of their wedding vows after a 75 year jour-ney of love and commitment. What a blessing to have this inspiring couple as a part of our church family.

You will be encouraged by Dwight's lesson this morning from the gospel of Luke and tonight we will be able to hear a report from Jarrod Griffin about his recent trip to Ecuador and his work with the Campbells at Camp Bellevue. Be sure and read the nice note from Clifford and Carol Allen posted on the bulletin board in the drive-through hall.

A huge thank you – I am so thankful for Sunset and your support at our Ar-ea Wide last Sunday night. To those who came, to those who baked casse-

roles, to those who helped set-up, to those who served, & to those who helped clean up! I am grateful for your will-ingness to serve and pitch-in, I’m so appreciative. It was a wonderful night of being together in worship and in fellow-ship. We had delicious food and you were all an important part of making that night a success!

Fall Work Day – We will be raking and bagging up leaves from 1-5pm for a few of our widows this Wednesday the 22nd. Bring your rakes, gloves and work ethic. Following, we will eat at Cici’s prior to our evening devotional. Van provided.

New Year’s Youth Lock-In & Family Night – Make plans now to join us December 31st, for a wonderful time filled with family fun, delicious food, games, & devotional. Our lock-in will be a little different this year with New Year’s Eve falling on a Sunday night, more details coming.

2018 Thin-Ice Retreat – Possible dates Feb 9-11th & Feb 16-18th, parents please check your schedules and let me know your available dates in February. Youth be making plans now to attend! !
