EVALUATION 4: WHO WOULD BE THE

AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?

I Would rate our film to be a 15 due to the psychological narrative of a psychotic

murderer, which most probably will contain strong language,

strong violence and gore. Although you don’t know this at the beginning, making it more unexpected to the audience.

RATING OF OUR FILM

I think that our film will be aimed at older teens and above, this is because the film focuses more

on the psychological aspect rather than the action with a complex narrative which younger teens may find harder to follow. Also due to the

main characters being just past the age of young teens this helps the audience to relate to the character more and therefore have a better understanding of the film. The costume and location of the film is also realistic as this is

what the audience of this age would be used to seeing. This makes is even more so un-

expecting when the narrative takes a turn to the worst from only 15 seconds into the opening.

AGE OF WHO THE FILM WILL BE AIMED AT?

The film will be appealing to both females and males as males will enjoy the action and violence side to the story-line, whilst

females will like the romance between the two main characters in it as well as

the dominant and protective male character. Both males and females at this

age can relate to their relationship making a better understanding of it.

GENDER OF AUDIENCE

People who like twists and unpredictability will find this film particularly more enjoyable, as the film has red herrings through-out with

a shocking ending. The audience may be particularly well educated as the film will include elements of a assumed knowledge that the audience will have. As the film is

rated at a 15 this suggests to the audience that there will be violence and possibly gore, which does have a vast appeal to a variety of people, particularly males as said previously.
