Gree$ng  to  the  world,

AIESEC  Thailand  has  slowly  risen  over  the  past  5  years,  from  being  a  small  en$ty  in  the  region  to  being  a  genuine  high-‐poten$al  en$ty.  We  have  achieved  excep$onal  growth  in  the  past  2  terms  where  we  grew  by  over  100%  to  surpass  the  500  exchanges  mark  in  13/14  for  the  first  $me  in  our  history.  In  the  term  ahead,  oGCDP  remains  the  primary  focus  while  we  seek  to  grow  both  iGIP  and  iGCDP  and  oGIP  is  in  the  pilot  stage.    We  are  excited  for  the  term  ahead  as  we  seek  to  con$nue  the  excellent  growth  of  the  past  years  as  we  seek  to  pass  the  1000  exchanges  mark  in  the  term  ahead.

Thailand  as  a  country  is  one  of  the  top  des$na$ons  for  people  from  all  walks  of  life.  Bangkok  was  rated  as  the   top   des$na$on   globally   for   the   past   few   years.   The   rich   culture,   vibrant   lifestyle,   amazing   food   and  spectacular  sights  and  sounds  complete  the  wonderful  Thai  experience  which  has  the  peaceful,  fun-‐loving,  hospitable  people  at   its  epicenter.  While  Thailand  is  undeniably  a  place  every  person  should  visit  at   least  once  in  their  life$me,  AIESEC  in  Thailand  has  never  been  more  relevant  than  it  is  now.

Thailand  remains  locked  in  a  poli$cal  crisis  with  poor  leadership  at  the  forefront  of  the  issues  faced.  As  a  country,  there  are  a  mul$tude  of  issues  to  be  addressed  as  Thailand  readies  itself  for  ASEAN  2020  and  AEC  2015.  AIESEC  in  Thailand  has  developed  projects  directly  linked  to  the  key  issues  faced  in  Thailand  and  we  are  present  in  the  top  universi$es  in  Thailand  providing  a  significant  plaTorm  for  youth  leadership  plaTorm.  As   a   developing   en$ty,   AIESEC   in   Thailand   has   taken   great   strides   in   ensuring   we   marry   quan$ty   with  quality   where   our   projects   and   EPs   are   of   the   highest   quality   in   the   network.   We   kindly   invite   you   to  partner  with  us  and  experience  Thailand.  It  will  be  an  experience  you  will  never  forget!

We  are  excited  to  be  working  together  with  the  network,  as  part  of  GEN  2015  to  achieve  AIESEC  2015!  The  best  is  yet  to  be!

!Sincerely

!!

Muhammed  Khalilullah  S  A

President  of  AIESEC  in  Thailand  14/15

2 History

AIESEC   was   founded   in   Thailand   in   1966   through   a   coopera$on   between   AIESEC   in   Japan   and  Professor  Dr.  Puey  Ungpakorn.  AIESEC  Thailand  was  officially  welcomed  into  the  network  in  1968.  As  such  AIESEC   in   Thailand  has  been  around   for   48   years.  AIESEC  Thailand   is   thus   the  oldest   en$ty   in  South-‐East  Asia.

AIESEC  Thailand  hosted  the  IPM  in  1972  along  with  a  series  of  regional  and  interna$onal  conferences  during  the  period  between  1981  to  1991.  In  this  period,  AIESEC  in  Thailand  was  the  biggest  en$ty  in  the  global  network  with  over  16  Local  Commiaees  and  over  5000  members.

The   1990s  was   the   dark   ages   for   the   en$ty   as  we   proposed   for   disbandment   twice   in   this   period.  However   by   the   turn   of   the   millennium,   things   became   beaer.   In   2003,   AIESEC   in   Thailand   was  officially   registered  as  a  Non-‐Profit  Organisa$on  under   the  Na$onal  Culture  Mission  Bureau.  Things  took  a  turn  for  the  worst  during  the  poli$cal  crisis  and  flooding  period  during  2009/2010.  However,  since  then,  AIESEC  in  Thailand  has  con$nued  to  grow  from  strength  to  strength.

At  present,  AIESEC   in  Thailand   is  present   in  8  universi$es   in  Thailand  while  we  con$nue   to  expand  rapidly.  Our  growth  in  terms  of  exchange  and  membership  has  been  significant.  AIESEC  in  Thailand  is  once  again  rising  as  a  genuine  high-‐poten$al  en$ty  in  the  region.
