It is meant as a clear, comprehensive and straightforward guide to AIESECs outgoing exchange program. </p><p>We sincerely hope you become interested in our amazing exchange opportunities. </p><p>Thank you! </p><p>The outgoing exchange team of AIESEC Alexandria 2011 </p></li><li><p> What is AIESEC? </p><p>"The international platform for young people to discover and develop their leadership potential" </p><p>AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organization, Present in over 110 countries and territories and with over </p><p>60,000 active members and over 1 million alumni. </p><p>AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and </p><p>participate in a global learning environment. </p><p>AIESEC aims at promoting cultural awareness and understanding, and its goal is to provide youth with personal and </p><p>professional development and experience needed to become positive change agents and change their society in the </p><p>future. </p><p>AIESECs Vision Peace and fulfillment of all humankinds potential. </p></li><li><p> AIESECs Scope AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, non-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of </p><p>institutions of higher education. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national, </p><p>ethnic or social origin. </p><p>What makes AIESEC unique is the youth driven impactful experience that it offers to its members. It achieves this by giving youth the </p><p>opportunity to immerse themselves in a foreign culture and discover it </p><p>for themselves. </p><p>Going on exchange is a life changing experience; it changes your views </p><p>on the world, you Interact with a different social and cultural </p><p>environment, it pushes you to grow out of your comfort zone and </p><p>discover your potential. </p><p>Going on exchange gives you the opportunity to represent Egypt abroad and to develop theoretical and </p><p>practical leadership skills, and to contribute to your personal and professional life goals. </p><p>Any exchange participant must be a student in a higher academic institution (including Masters and PhD) </p><p>or a recent graduate (up to 2 years after completing their last degree). </p><p>AIESECs exchange program is available for everyone, including non AIESEC members. </p><p>AIESECs exchange program provides youth with 4 types of opportunities. </p></li><li><p> Why is going on exchange with AIESEC a life changing experience? </p><p>With our cultural exchange opportunities, you are guaranteed to experience a foreign culture inside and </p><p>out, not just see the sights, follow the tour guides and do the shopping. </p><p>The way our exchange goes is that AIESEC members from the host local committee become your friends </p><p>ever since you leave the airplane, their job is to take care of you, immerse you into their culture and learn </p><p>yours as well; this guarantees that your experience will be very rich and exciting. </p><p>While you are abroad, you contribute to a project by working in a team with many other interns from </p><p>around the world, so you wont just learn one culture, but experience such cultural diversity that will open </p><p>up your mind and greatly expand your vision, as well as provide you with personal and professional </p><p>development while having an amazing unforgettable experience. You will get the chance to make many </p><p>close friends from all around the world, and truly feel that you are a citizen of the world. </p><p>You will get the chance to represent your culture among many nationalities, and form the most truthful </p><p>impression of a very large and diverse group of people about Egypt and the Egyptians. </p><p>Dont miss this chance to help our country, by allowing many people from all around the world to discover </p><p>how amazing and unique Egypt and its culture really are, help them fall in love with Egypt. </p></li><li><p> Global Community Development Program </p><p>Discover is a student exchange project targeting people </p><p>between 18 and 28 who want to live and volunteer in a </p><p>foreign country for a period of 6 to 12 weeks. </p><p>Discover provides students and recent graduates with an </p><p>amazing cultural experience by working directly on </p><p>development projects in foreign countries to immerse </p><p>themselves with the local people and culture. Work fields </p><p>may include childrens rights, environmental issues, </p><p>education, rural development and entrepreneurship. </p><p>One of the main aims of Discover is to allow students to explore exotic cultures and have a positive impact </p><p>on societies in need. Through Discover, participants are guaranteed a unique journey of self-discovery and </p><p>cultural exploration. Everyone can join Discover as long as they keep an open mind and are open for </p><p>adventure and exploring new places! Accommodation is provided in 95% of the opportunities. </p><p>Opportunities are available in many countries depending on the time of year. </p></li><li><p> Cure allows participants to volunteer on HIV/AIDS awareness projects and live </p><p>in developing countries for a period of 6 to 12 weeks. </p><p>Cure is specially designed for Pharmacy and Medicine students who would like </p><p>to know how is it like to work closely with HIV/AIDS and how can they help by </p><p>increasing peoples awareness about it. Once abroad, exchange participants are </p><p>better prepared to apply their knowledge in tasks such as educating school </p><p>children and communities about HIV/AIDS, helping nonprofit organizations </p><p>develop programs to combat HIV/AIDS, as well as providing support to groups </p><p>vulnerable to the virus. </p><p>Cure project has the same requirements as Discover, with the addition that </p><p>medical skills are preferred. </p><p>Join Discover or Cure now if: </p><p> You have good English </p><p> You willing to work and live abroad from 6 to 12 weeks </p><p> You want to experience a different culture </p><p> You care about society and want to have an impact </p></li><li><p> Global Internship Program </p><p>The Business Stop is a year-long project targeting Business school and faculty of commerce graduates who want to live and work abroad for a period of 6 to 18 months. The Business Stop provides participants with essential professional experience they need to have a successful career in their field. The Business Stop may include finance, project management, </p><p>marketing, human resources, and business administration and accounting fields. The participant must have academic and working backgrounds in the field of work. A salary sufficient for living expenses is provided </p><p> Through The Business Stop, participants can experience living and working abroad, learning new languages or developing the ones they already know, and immersing themselves in a new culture. Most popular countries include Turkey, India, China, Malaysia and Russia. </p><p> Join The Business Stop now if: </p><p> You have very good English You are willing to work and live abroad from 3 to 18 months You are a business school or faculty of commerce graduate You have working experience in your field of study </p></li><li><p>Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is one of the largest IT service </p><p>providers in the world, headquartered in India. A part of the Tata </p><p>Group, Indias largest industrial conglomerate, TCS has over 160,000 of </p><p>the world's best trained IT consultants in 42 countries. </p><p>With Globalization, TCS entered into a close collaboration with AIESEC. </p><p>This collaboration primarily focused in AIESEC International helping TCS in sourcing interns from its </p><p>countries of presence, thereby helping TCS in increasing employee diversity and cultural mix within the </p><p>organization and building a strong employer brand globally. </p><p>Join ACE now if: </p><p> You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English </p><p> You are willing to work and live in India for a period of 12 to 18 months </p><p> You have previous relevant working experience </p><p> You are an Engineering or Computer Science graduate with Background in: </p></li><li><p> Software Development and Programming </p><p> Systems analysis and design </p><p> Network Management and data transmission </p><p> Technical skills: </p><p> Databases; My SQL, Oracle </p><p> Programming: C++, C, ASP, VB.net, Java, .Net, UNIX </p><p>[Candidates are not required to have knowledge/experience in all the languages/technologies </p><p>mentioned above. Two or three skills on the proficient level are often enough to start with. Person </p><p>will be allocated based on personal aspirations, level of technical skills as well as current needs of </p><p>existing projects] A salary sufficient for living expenses is provided </p><p>Educational traineeships </p><p>The exchange participant has the opportunity to work in a company, NGO, government, university or organization </p><p>and will spend the majority of his/her time working in areas related to Education. These areas may include teaching </p><p>a language, teaching another subject in another language, curriculum development, character development, career </p><p>counseling and cultural interaction. A salary sufficient for living expenses is provided </p><p>The exchange participant should have academic and working backgrounds in the field of education. </p></li><li><p> So what happens when you apply for exchange? you fill an exchange application and you go through the exchange interview </p><p> You sign a contract with AIESEC Alexandria. The contract is an official document stating your responsibilities </p><p>towards the exchange program, as well as our responsibilities towards you as an exchange participant. </p><p> On signing the contract, you pay 1000LE. AIESEC is a non-profit organization; any amount of money received </p><p>through the exchange program is used to sustain AIESEC and its global internet database, as well as giving </p><p>you preparation sessions prior to traveling. </p><p> Next comes matching. Matching is finding an exchange opportunity and associating it with you. People from </p><p>AIESEC will be responsible for matching you; the matching process will be in coordination with your </p><p>preferences. </p><p> Once you are found a match, an online interview is conducted before final acceptance. </p><p> If we fail to find a match after one year, 400LE is refunded back to the exchange participant </p><p> We prepare you for traveling abroad and give you as much information as we can to ensure you have a rich </p><p>experience and minimize potential for problems. </p><p> Once you arrive abroad, AIESEC members from the host country will meet you and you will be their </p><p>responsibility throughout your internship. They will involve you in their activities, immerse you in their </p><p>culture, and make sure you are gaining the experience you are looking for. AIESEC Alexandria will also follow </p><p>up with you during your internship. </p><p> After you arrive home, you are encouraged to present your experience to AIESEC members.
