    ตะวันรุ่งทุ่งรังสิต(TAWAN RUNG THUNG RANGSIT)

    SongwriterPetition: Nawarat PongpaiboonMelody Rangsit Jongyan

Flower Glass ofChom Chom Phon Rangist,

the beauty of the clear waters, and from Rangsit to all people

The song ตะวันรุ่งทุ่งรังสิต(tawan rung thung rangsit) was first written in the year 1986. This song’s purpose was to become Rangsit University’s theme song and to show idealism, ideology of the in-stitution, and because Rangsit Uni-versity is part of the Rangsit Agri-cultural field (Thung Rangsit) which in turn is part of Thailand’s central region of farming. So RSU’s theme song motive is to also include the heritage of the Rangsit Agricultural Field (Thung Rangsit)

This song also mentions the flower theme of the university which is the Payom tree. The reason for choosing the Payom tree as the tree of Rangsit University is because Rangsit University was built on the plain wide field of purity and power. The founders of Rangsit University was Mr. Prasit Ourairat (father of Dr. Arthit Ourairat, PhD). The founders discovered the importance of the area by recreating the area from a rice field into a place for an educational purpose field with an abundance of natural resources for Rangsit University students. By exposing natural resources to students, Rangsit University students will understand and preserve natural resources, live a healthy and mental lifestyle. These are the reasons why Rangsit University impor-tantly chose to grow Payom trees as the university’s tree.

    The PresidentWelcoming message

    The Golden Fourth Estate

The day when the truth wasn’t told to the people, is the day when darkness overtakes the nation. The news media becomes valuable as it becomes the teachers of society. The Fourth Estate or those who have the power to tell the truth and become a reliable person to the whole nation is what make it a better nation. The Fourth Estates include other forms of media which are: First Estate Monarchy, Second Estate priest or monks, and the Third nobility. As true reporters get lesser day by day, the Fourth Estate was

introduced to motivate and support these reporters to keep on spreading the news and be a good role for society. A good news reporter should be neutral, have justice and not be influenced by high-powered people. The news media is the teacher of the nation as literature professor Nawarat Pongpaiboon wrote about the role of a news reporter in poetic form which and the following can be seen in front of the Communication Arts building at Rangsit University.

“As the world gets quiet from darkness, the media must become the power voice, as the world enters the world of illusion, the media must become the eyes of the nation.”

Nobody can be truly successful without facing failure.

Politicians, scientists, poets and playwrights, and historians all

have experienced past failure in their life. But the truth is these

people used their failures as motivation to reach their goals.

One of those people is Arthit Ourairat.

    A Sun One World

The sun, the symbol of energy where humans use energy to live our everyday life because it gives us heat, energy and light to let us grow. Every day the sun keeps spinning just like how every nation keeps on developing their country espe-cially in the Eastern hemisphere. Japan is the first country to see the rising sun in the morning before any nation, but that isn’t the point. No matter when the sun

    Performance:“Don’t Judge me”

Every day we get to know and meet new fac-es, but have you ever asked yourself: Do you really know them? Or do we know them just from their appearance? A person’s face, appearance, height, skin color is irrelevant. If you want to know somebody, don’t judge what’s from the outside. Understand them

“Skin color and your heart aren’t always related. White and clean doesn’t mean your heart is clean, dark skin doesn’t mean your heart is dark. The outside is just an appearance, but inside is something to reach with the heart. Do not judge someone by how they look, judge them by who they are.”

deep down in their heart before anything else. If someone were to judge us by our outside appearance only, we would also be disappointed. “Don’t Judge me, don’t judge from what’s on the outside, look deeply to see who i am.”

comes up, or who sees the sun first because after all we all see the same sun. No matter you we are, a different country or culture if you stand in this very spot, you are part of the Rangsit University Family.

    Dharmacracy

The Dharmacracy society of Rangsit university became a huge turning point for a university in that it not only creates people, but to create role models. Role models can achieve and be responsible for the better of society. With a new method of teaching by Rangsit University, society must be peaceful, democratic, religious, stay and eat well, and have stable jobs. Society must be equal to all people no matter the cost because we all must live together peacefully. That is why we call this society Dhamacracy.” The given message was a vision of Dr. Arthit Ourairat,

PhD President of Rangsit University Since 2008.

    Surya

Surya or the Sun God in Hindu mythology is one who never walks back just like other Gods. Orbits from west to east, when the sunset is past the hori-zon, another 12 hours will happen again from west to east for eternity. Just like the saying of the Solar Deity, Surya is the highest God among all, the spark of creation as he created himself and others. He is often portrayed as riding a chariot driven by 7 hors-es when coming to Earth. As the myth stated that Surya has many wives but the one who always appear is Sharanya which is the daughter of Vishvakarman and Gayatri. Soon Sharanya became a princess with Surya. One time, Sharanya told her father Vishvakar-man that Surya, her husband, was way too hot, so she couldn’t get close to him. Vishvakarman felt sorry for his daughter, so he strapped Surya and

shredded off 1 out of 8 of the light skin. Surya’s heat lowered and because of the skin that Vishvakarman shred, he used that to make a powerful weapon for the heavenly gods. Rangsit University built a statue of Surya (Sun God) by the request of President, Dr. Arthit Ourairat, PhD because Rangsit University’s logo is similar to the sun which reflects to the philosophy of the Uni-versity. This philosophy is to meet the objectives of establishing higher educational institutions with ac-ademic excellence, promote knowledge development and new technology in order for students to pay attention to their continuous learning. Plus, with good a conscience and morals can create prosperity for the nation and become a strong Dharmacratic soci-ety.

    Cheerleading

    “พลังใจขับเคลื่อนได้ทุกสิ่ง (Spirit Can Drive)”

We believe that this phrase can help motivate many people in achieving success, just like the cheer-leading team at Rangsit University. As the representative from Thailand to join the 8th Cheerleading World Championships 2015 held in Berlin, Germany. With full of energy and spirit they became the champion of the tournament.

Like, gossiping with friends, worrying about obesity, disappointment on the course of love. This song can speak instead of what all parents want to say on the day they grow up. No matter what we find in the story, we cannot get over it. Do not think we de-spair but just keep moving forward.
