Stewardship: A Way of Life – 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time

That we may show our gratitude for God’s great gifts through our active participation in the ministry of God’s Church. “Or who has given the Lord anything that he may repaid?”-Romans 11:35 St. Paul reminds us of a central fact of stewardship. We cannot give the Lord anything, because God already owns it all. God made everything. All that we can do is return a portion of God’s many gifts back to Him. Sincere gratitude for our gifts opens our hearts to joyfully generosity!

CCE Registration New students – registration for new students will be

held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during August from 5pm – 6:30pm in the parish office. Baptismal certificates required for new registration. Students that attended last year – please call our DRE, Dina Tonche at 265-5179 ext. 101 or e-mail her at dtonche-dre@att.net.

CCE Volunteers We are in need of volunteers to teach in our CCE

Program. If you are interested in helping or have questions, please contact our office at 265-5179. Our program runs from September to April.

Coke Products & Water Donations We are in need of the following coke products (12 oz.)

for our machine: Root Beer, Mr. Pibb, Diet Coke and Sprite. Each parish family is asked to make a donation of a 12-pack per month or a donation of a pack of water per month. We thank you in advance for your donations which you may bring to the parish office.

The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) Do you have questions about Catholicism? Are you

unbaptized, but recognize a need for spirituality in your life? Have you been baptized in the Catholic Church or another religion but never received any religious formation? Are you married to a Catholic and attend mass, but just don’t know what the next step is to become one of the Catholic faithful? The Rite of Christian Initiation is the process for welcoming newcomers into the Roman Catholic Church, or to bring baptized Catholics into full communion with the church. KJT Catholic Union of Texas – KJT will meet on Tuesday,

September 2nd at 6pm in the Father O’Malley Room at St. Jerome in Clute. A report of the recent KJT Convention will be given.

Ordinario Para que mostremos nuestra gratitude por los

lindos regalos de Dios por medio de nuestra participación activa en la –parroquia de la Iglesia de

Dios. “¿Quién le ha dado al Señor para que se le tenga que recompensar?” ~Romanos 11:35 Sn. Pablo nos recuerda cual es el punto principal del espíritu de

servicio. Lo único que podemos hacer es devolver una porción de Sus regalos. ¡La gratitud sincera por nuestros regalos abre nuestros corazones a la

dichosa generosidad!

Inscripciones para el Catecismo Estudiantes nuevos – habrá inscripciones para

estudiantes nuevos los martes y jueves del mes de Agosto de 5pm – 6:30pm en la oficina parroquial. Se require el certificado de bautismo para inscripciones nuevas. Misa en Celebración de las Bodas de Oro La Misa de celebración de aniversario en honor a las

parejas que celebran sus bodas de Oro y que contrajeron matrimonio por la Iglesia Católica en 1964; se llevará a cabo el día domingo, 26 de octubre en la Co-Catedral del Sagrado Corazón a las 3pm. Todas las parejas inscritas con antelación y que asistan, o no, a la ceremonia, recibirán un reconocimiento especial firmado por su Eminencia Daniel Cardenal DiNardo. La pareja que desee participar en esta ceremonia, deberá inscribirse electrónicamente en el siguiente sitio del internet: http://archgh.cvent.com/50weddinganniversary. Por favor no deje ningún espacio en blanco en la forma de inscripción e igualmente asegúrese de escribir el nombre de la pareja de la forma como quiere que aparezcan en las publicaciones impresas. La fecha límite para inscribirse es el 29 de septiembre hasta la media noche. Después de terminado el plazo de inscripción, la Oficina del Ministerio de Vida Familiar de la Arquidiócesis no recibirá ninguna inscripción adicional. Ninguna inscripción se confirmara si no se puede verificar la información de la boda católica y/o si no se recibe el valor de la inscripción de $25 por pareja antes del 29 de septiembre. Podrá asistir con 6 familiares o amigos, máximo.
