AikidoThe basic premise of Aikido is that mind and body work together. The movements are designed to coor-dinate so that the force of attack can be diverted harm-lessly and re-directed. Aikido students will learn con-centration and relaxation; they will develop sensitivity, coordination and perception. Students will also build stamina and self-confi dence as well as maintain cardio-vascular fi tness. Great Backyard Bird CountHike the Haverford Reserve trails and participate in the national Great Backyard Bird Count program, an annual four-day event that engages bird watch-ers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are. February 16 1-2:30 pm

Nature Art ProjectBring your family for an afternoon of crafting with re-cycled items & objects found in nature. March 9 1-3pm

Full Moon WalkVenture out during the full moon on the trails of the Reserve and enjoy a campfi re in the meadow. March 16 7-8:30 pm ** Weather permitting

Owl WalkJoin William Ryan, local ecological consultant and naturalist, on an evening hike through the woods and meadows of Haverford Reserve to look and listen for owls and other nocturnal animals. March 23 7-9 pm
