The township is installing pavilions in our 7 major parks for the children participating in our Summer Playground Program. The pavilions can also be used by neighbors and local organizations for special events.

Through a grant acquired from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission the township has created a 1.2 mile accessible multi-use trail along Darby Creek from Merry Place to the bus yard.

Haverford Township was recently awarded the Green Park Award for environmentally friendly measures taken at Haverford Reserve. Our goal is to expand these initiatives throughout the township including less mowing of passive areas, and plant-ing of native trees and grasses.

Our Park Maintenance Crew has instituted an im-proved maintenance program including aerating, seeding and fertilizing to make our ball fi elds safer and more playable.
