Materials and Methods

32 – 36 varieties at a site

4 replications, randomized complete block design

Plots were 35.5 ft. long and 2 rows wide

Soil at each test site was sampled for V. dahliae at planting.

Plots were rated for incidence of wilt in August

Plots were harvested with a 2-row plot stripper

ConclusionsConclusions

1) 2005 recommended varieties (FM 960 types, FM 989 types, DP 455BR) looked good again in 2006.

2) The only Flex varieties that looked good were AFD 5064F and AFD 5065B2F (tested at one site only with Verticillium wilt).

3) PM 2326RR was highly ranked in two tests. BCG 520R, AFD Raider 271, PG 440W, FM 832LL, and FM 988LLB2 were highly ranked at one site.
