CRITICAL MEDICAL CASES SUPPORTED

A 22 year old girl, was suffering from Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). She was admitted for Medical Management in Navodaya Hospital under care of Dr. Vijay Bhasker. HHF has paid Rs. 35,000/-

A 17 year old girl, was suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She was admitted in ICU for Medical Management and had multiple blood transfusions, was under care of Dr. Pavan at Indo-American Hospital. HHF has paid Rs. 74,000/-

A married woman with TB facing desertion and domestic violenceStigma and domestic violence against married women with TB is rising and many unfortunate women are being deserted as families are turning hostile. HHF has set up shelter for deserted women battling TB, the first such shelter has been commissioned at an urban slum in old city and a young married women who has been deserted by the family has been accommodated. Our counselors will provide healthy food, nurse the patient and take them for check ups and give medicines as per Govt TB protocols and make constant effort to counsel the family to accept her back.She was treated at Navodaya Hospital under Dr. Vijay Bhasker, post treatment she is stable and road to recovery, HHF has paid Rs. 80,000/-

CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE CASES SUPPORTED

These cases were suffering from Renal Disease and was under treatment in Nephrology Dept, Osmania General Hospital. We had given financial & moral support. Provided dialysis catheters, blood transfusions

and expensive medicines which were not available in the Hospital. All were discharge in a Stable condition.

SUCCESSFUL STORIES

Mrs. Nagalakshimi, 55 years old lady, was diagnosed with H1N1 swine flu and admitted in Yashoda Hospital in just 4 days her bill ran into Rs. 3.0 lacs as her condition was getting worse. When the case came to us we shifted her to Gandhi Hospital which is the nodal centre for H1N1 on a ventilator, she was treated well by the dedicated team of Doctors at Gandhi and her life saved. She didn't have to spend a single rupee.

Mrs. Farhana Begum, 37yrs old lady, was suffering from Carcinoma Colon and underwent Colostomy Closure Surgery done by a Gastroenterologist at Osmania General Hospital. We had given counseling, financial & moral support during her treatment. She was discharge in a Stable Condition.

A 12 year old boy, who had burn injuries around his neck underwent a Neck Flap Release surgery successfully done by a team of Plastic Surgeons of Osmania General Hospital. We had provided all the necessary requirements.

SWACHH BHARATH CAMPAIGING AT ALL GOVT HSOPIATLS

HHF has a new initiative i.e. Swachh Campaigns for Hospitals. “The initiative will encourage for public to stay clean and hygienic.”HHF team is counseling to the Patients & Visitors about the areas where improvement is possible & try to keep it clean.

HHF has come out with GREEN & CLEAN. It is widely known that hospitals generate large quantities of infectious and hazardous waste. So we are counseling to the patients & the visitors for the safety measures like, Handwash techniques, using dustbins for the garbage to make the hospital Clean & Green.

IMPROVING PUBLIC HOSPITALS FACILITIES

HHF along with Round table India have taken up massive makeover of Hyderabad oldest Govt hospital under Swachh Campaign. All the defaced walls have been painted, new anti litter signage's are put up, over 125 tube lights and several days lights have been installed a large TV has been put up in waiting areas and 30 iron benches have been donated by Round table. All this measures have been done with an aim to enhance patient experience in our public health system.

After 6 months of Nutrition provided to TB patients across 6 Govt TB Centers nearly 56% of the patients recorded between 1 – 3 kg increase in weight, 20% over 3kgs and rest it remained the same, weight gain in TB is a sure sign of the disease being cured.

500 TB PATIENTS ARE ENROLLED IN THE NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM

SUPPORT TO ANGANWADI IN URBAN SLUM

HHF has adopted an Aganwadi Center in Ballapur Area in R.R. District where the most underprivileged children and pregnant mothers get free education and nutrition.

HHF - Started a Desk with in Help Hyderabad Clinic for the Patients to ensure the medical treatment and we have put a free transportation service from a vehicle donated by one of our donors – the vehicle ferries 25 – 30 patients to several govt hospitals for free treatment.

HHF provided Water Beds, Walker’s, Medicines, Air Beds to the needy patients for their daily use which they could not afford in several state hospitals.

A 24 year old girl, was suffering from Severe Hearing Loss and after evaluation ENT Surgeon ahd advised her to use Amplifications. HHF had provided a pair of Hearing Aids to her, paid Rs. 20,000/-

A 46 year old woman, was suffering from severe sleep apnea for which she need CPAP support during night. HHF had donated CPAP to her thru which she is able to have a normal sleep.
