1. Conference of General Manager, RICs/DICS organized by Directorate of Industries, Govt of Odisha

Conference of General Manager, RICs/DICS was organized by Directorate of Industries, Govt of Odisha on 13

th August,

2019 in Hotel MAyfar, Bhubnaeswar. Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of MSmE, Govt of India attended the Conference and addressed the gathering. Dr. S.K. Sahoo, Director in Charge, MSME-DI Cuttack made a presentation on Udyam Samagam.

2. One Day Vendor Development Programme held at IOCL

MSME-DI, Cuttack has organized One day Vendor Development Programme with special focus on women entrepreneurs at IOCL Paradeep Refinary, Paradeep on 8.8.2019. Dr. S. K. Sahoo, Director In Charge, MSME DI Cuttack addressed the gathering. Around 75 Participants including MSE entrepreneurs and Officials attended the programme.

3. Inauguration of Entrepreneurship Development Centre at Branch MSME- DI office

Rayagada.

Dr. S. K. Sahoo, Director In Charge, MSME DI Cuttack inaugurated the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) at Branch MSME-DI, Rayagada on 29.8.2019. Shri S.K. Rath, Asst. Director, Shri N.K. Kotiratnam, Asst. Director, branch MSME-DI, Rayagada and other staff members attended the function.

4. One Day Seminar on Financing under MSME Subidha Scheme organized by

Odisha Industries Federation.

One day Seminar on Financing under MSME SUBIDHA Scheme was organized by Odisha Industries Federation sponsored by MSME-DI Cuttack, Govt of India. Dr. S.K. Sahoo, Director In Charge, MSME-DI Cuttack attended the event and spoke about the credit facilities available for MSMEs.

5. One Day Awareness Programme on IPR at Dhenkanal

One day Awareness program on IPR was conducted by MSMEDI Cuttack, in association with Industries Association, Cashew, Engg Cluster, RIC & MISSION, Dhennkanal at Dhenkanal on 21 08.2019. Dr.S.K.Sahoo, Director I/c MSMEDI,Cuttack inaugurated the program. Sh P. K. Mishra & Sh S. K. Rath, Asst Director, MSMEDI Cuttack, Dr.S.K.Kar, Sr.Manager CTTC and IPFC, Dr.A.K.Pradhan, Asst.Controller of Patent,Patent office Kolkatta, Officers from RIC,delivered talk and interacted on IP issues, relating to MSMEs,Patent,Trade Mark,Industrial Design,GI Registration, also on Cluster.

6. One Day Awareness Programme on IPR at Rourkela

An One day Awareness programme on IPR was conducted by MSMEDI, Cuttack, in association with RCCI, Industrial Associations, Engg Cluster, RIC & Br.MSME-DI, Rourkela at Rourkela on 22.08.2019.. Shri S. K. Rath, Asst Director MSME-DI Cuttack, Dr.A.K.Pradhan, Asst.Controller of Patent, Patent office Kolkata,Shri S.Pati,Asst.Dirrector from Br.MSMEDI, Rourkela, delivered talk and interacted on IP issues, relating to MSMEs, Patent, Trade Mark, Industrial Design also on Cluster.

8. EDP and Export Awareness Programme held at Ravenshaw University Cuttack

Export Awareness Program organized by Odisha Young Entrepreneurs’ Association was held on 30.08.2019 in association with DGFT Cuttack at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. Dr. S. K. Sahoo, Director In Charge delivered on EDP and Export opportunities for MSEs in the state.Dr. Shibananda Nayak, Asst. Director, MSME –DI also attended the programme.

9. 16th Coordination Committee meeting along with ILO- SIYB meeting held at CTTC,

BBSR

The 16th Coordination committee meeting of MSME organizations in Odisha was held at CTTC, Bhubaneswar on 14th August 2019 under the Chairmanship of Dr. S.K. Sahoo, Director In charge. Discussion also took place on the modalities and principles for carrying out ILO SIYB programme by CTTC, BBSR.

10. Plant Level Advisory Committee and Vendor Development Programme

11. Visit of Secretary, M/o MSME, Govt of India to CFC of Pharmaceutical Cluster,

Bhubaneswar

Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, IAS, Secretary, M/o MSME, Govt of India visited the CFC of Pharmaceutical Cluster on 13.8.2019 and interacted with SPV members and reviewed the progress of cluster.

12. Preparatory Meeting with Orissa Industries Association for Organizing National

15. Special Recognition for Industry Promotion in Odisha

Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME) organized MSME Meet up on 11

th-

12th August during their 33rd Annual

Foundation Day. Dr. S. K. Sahoo, Director In Charge, MSME-DI Cuttack was conferred with the award of ‘Best Industry Promotion Officer” in the State. The award was given by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Shri. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Shri. Dibya Shankar Mishra, Hon’ble Minister, MSME, Govt of Odisha, Shri. Arun Kumar Panda, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.

(a) Hon’ble Union Minister, MSME, Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari promises concrete

decision for timely payment to MSMEs. He assured that whether it is private or public sector or

government, the payment of MSME should get released in 45 days.

(b) Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced the government’s plan to launch an e-commerce

portal named Bharat Craft. It will provide a platform for MSMEs to market and sell their products

which in turn will boost the sector. Hon’ble Minister further added that the project has the potential

to bear around Rs 10 lakh crore revenue in the next 2-3 years.
