DO:Strong brand look and feel so prospective customers easily know all from same company.

THINK:Journey theme walks store owners though all the steps corporate is taking to be sustainable.

DO:Fold-out map mailer tells the story in an engaging manner.

KNOW:Company saves money when employees choose high deductible/HSA plan.

THINK:Employees are reluctant to switch plans because they don’t understand it and the high deductible scares them off.

DO:Create an easy-to-read guide that explains to employees the benefits of both plans (esp. the HSA plan)

NOTE: That year the company had a huge increase on the percentage of employees that opted for the HAS plan.

THINK:Need to design a flexible booth that highlights all the company capabilities from engineering to final production paint.

DO:Booth design can be used inline or as an island. Back panels of the booth show a “schematic” of the entire production process.

NOTE: They landed a big GE contract at one of the shows.

THINK:The dealership is already the #1 Lexus dealer in the world, doesn’t need to build awareness, has wonderful amenities—cappuccino bar, Zen garden, homemade cookies.

DO:Pure image campaign, highlighting the customer experience.

KNOW:Corporate holiday card must be produced within a plethora of parameters and approved by committee of high level executives.

THINK:Oh shit!

DO:Non-denominational card, recognizing the company’s 40th anniversary, printed on recycled paper, delivered on-time and under budget to raving reviews and doesn’t look half bad!

DO:Incorporate more lifestyle images into brochures, targeting specific markets for each model.

KNOW:Due to budget constraints, automotive dealer annual incentive trip is at a rustic resort in Utah. Client has very modern taste.

THINK:This is a reward trip for the owners of the Top 100 dealerships, who expect the finer things in life and are not necessarily outdoorsy types, so need to set the tone for the trip accordingly.

DO:Clean, elegant design remains true to the beautiful setting of the venue without going lumberjack.
