Throughout the ages teachers and sages from every tradition have taught that discovering and fulfilling one

’s purpose brings with it inner peace, happiness, wholeness and fulfillment beyond anything of that which

one can possibly conceive. The solitary question one must be willing to ask is why am I here?

God doesn’t make mistakes; you are here on purpose. You have been given the ultimate gift, the gift of life.

You can choose to direct your energies and intentions in a manner that honors the giver of the gift, making

your purpose and how you express it more rewarding and meaningful to you and to your family of the earth.

Join Dennis for the Sunday service and discover who it is you have come here to be and how to be it by

practicing the Art of Being…on Purpose! (Dennis will also be featured as our musical guest soloist)

Many of us on the spiritual quest are so busy either “doing life” or trying to "have"

a spiritual experience that we fail to remember that because of our unity with the

Whole, we are a spiritual experience, 24/7, whether we are conscious of it or not.

Every holy instant offers us another opportunity to dive into the divinity of our own

Being. When we are conscious in the present moment we realize that the spiritual

experience we are seeking has actually been seeking us…waiting for us to mindfully

be still…and know. This workshop has been designed to give each participant an

experience of what it really means to be conscious and connected to Source in “real

time” — every moment of every day of your life. That is how you dive into the Divine!

TUITION:

$30 per person or $55 for two family members, if purchased by November 30th. Thereafter, $35 each for all attendees

Rev. Temple Hayes

Dear friends, my heart continues to be touched beyond measure each and every week as I look out and see all of you from all faiths and all walks of life. What a beautiful tapestry in our joining together with a greater vision beyond day-to-day life—the true acceptance of Namaste.

Mastery over day-to-day life is no doubt a grand achievement, yet to sincerely long to participate in something greater than oneself—a higher ideal, a collective project which involves others or an opening for more visioning—is so powerful.

This is our holy time, Easter—a time when we cross over any ideas of limitation and open up to a new life of possibilities. Jesus showed us by example that living people never die and that we have eternal life. His vision for us was so much more than day-to-day life, because he wanted to show us how to live life knowing the Kingdom was at hand.

Easter, filled with many activities and metaphors, has the potential to mean something so much greater for your family. It has the potential for us to show ourselves and those around us how beautiful life can be when we let go and we let God.

Let's look at some of the main principles which were gifted to us by Jesus that have become a foundation for the healing movement:

God is within you; the Kingdom is within 1. you. (What you are looking for, you are looking with).

Seek and you will find. (Know beyond a 2. doubt that all things will be added to you.)

Practice prayer and meditation daily.3.

If God, the creator of the universe, cares 4. for the birds and the lilies of the fields and all living things, God will always provide for you by expressing creative ideas through you. As Rev. Stretton Smith says in the 4T class material, "Life is a banquet, but we must get up and participate in it."

Allow this Holy Season to be your banquet this year. Be sure to get up, to rise up, above all ways of viewing your life and circumstances and enter into the sacred space of eternal love. Let the moment at the office, with your family, the day to day moments be led by the greatest vision of all…to truly know the secret of life.

The secret of life is not whether we will live or die but never allowing parts of ourselves to die while we are living. Loving life,

Peter has been inspiring, guiding, and teaching people how to re-establish their connection with the Earth and reclaim their spiritual powers for the past 30 years. New York Times best-selling author Dr. Christiane Northrup has referred to Peter as a 21st century Carlos Castenada. He is a gifted speaker and storyteller who holds his audiences spellbound with his magical, riveting, often humorous stories. He has discovered that the powers and knowledge that spontaneously awakened in him are the entitlement of everyone and can be claimed by giving up the false belief systems that have become our consensus reality. These beliefs that have been imposed on us are limiting, are suppressive, and are dis-empowering. They have forged the chains which bind us and the prison walls that contain us. Directly or indirectly, they are the cause of all suffering in this world.

The solution is to change the way that we perceive the world around us, and to change the way that we perceive ourselves. These are the two magical keys that open the door to a more expanded and more joyous, less limited, and more magical life – a life that is the entitlement of every human being on this planet.

The way we perceive the world determines our experience of the world. If we begin to perceive ourselves as a magical being, as a being without limits, as a being that does not need love and joy and abundance but a being that is the essence of all of these, then that is what we experience.

Join Peter at the Walking Between the Worlds seminar and learn:

How to "see without eyes, hear without •ears, and know without thought."

How to manifest prosperity and •abundance in your life.

How to awaken and use the power of •intention to manifest what you need or influence the outcome of a situation.

Secrets of how Shamans can end droughts •or excessive rain.

How to completely clear the negativity •from a dwelling place, even at a distance.

Ancient secrets that can enable you •to communicate with your pets, wild creatures, trees, and the spirits of the rivers, mountains, and forests.

How to have the most • prolific garden in your area.

How to conduct ceremonies for healing •and protecting the Earth. Change your perceptions! Join Peter at 1:30pm in First Unity's Sanctuary. The suggested love offering for the afternoon is $25. Pick up his book Soul on Fire at Wings Bookstore to see why reviewers of his book "simply cannot put it down!"

Walking Between the WorldsOn Sunday, March 1 teacher, healer, counselor, writer, and shaman Peter Calhoun will join us during our 9 & 11 am services and will present an afternoon seminar entitled "Walking Between the Worlds."

Your light shines bright, First Unity! This past Christmas your light shone brightly as you gave generously to those in need. This year we gave more than 650 presents to various community organizations in St. Petersburg. We received many letters of thanks from these organizations, but one stood out that we wanted to share with you. Here is an excerpt from the letter we received from CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) in St. Petersburg.

On the evening of December 20, the staff members at CASA were able to witness one of the most magical evenings off our lives. As CASA families were welcomed though the doors of our special holiday donation location, they cried with joy to see the beautiful toys, clothing and housewares you so generously gave.

We watched as a young mother of two wept as we rolled in two bikes that had been donated for her children. On Christmas morning, her three- and four-year-old girls opened the first gifts they had received in their short lives. One young boy jumped up and down with joy as we encouraged him to pick out a new purse

as a special gift for his mother. There was much contemplation as he spent several moments carefully picking the perfect wrapping paper and bows.

These magical moments were only possible because of your generosity. It is donors like you that help families live safely, free of violence. It is because of you that our families were able to take a break from thinking of what their lives hold next, and enjoy each other.

We are so very blessed here at First Unity. We have so many opportunities to give and shine our lights. We hold a knowing for you that your light will shine ever brighter and that together we will find even more ways to touch the lives of those around us and remind them that they matter.

If you would like to become more involved in our community outreach, please plan to attend one of our monthly meetings with CommUniteam, our outreach ministry. We meet each month on the second Monday at 6 pm in the Conference room.

The Next Generation of First Unity (NGU). Our purpose is to empower ourselves through service, prayer and personal education to embrace our spiritual potential. Service to our church and community enriches the lives of all involved. Prayer and meditation help us throw off those pesky adult stresses and reconnect with our inner mystic child. And every so often we do stuff just to have fun and be with friends. We invite everyone from the ages of 18 to 35 to join us on Wednesdays at 7 pm in Rm #205.

Sober Spirits. This Alcoholics Anonymous group meets at 7:30 pm every Wednesday in Rm #200, and 10 am every Thursday in Rm #300. No smoking, please.
