Joe Bob Briggs Presents: BLUE VELVET (1986, 35mm)Midnight movie icon Joe Bob Briggs in person to introduce the film!David Lynch cemented his reputation as an uncompromising visionary with BLUE VELVET, one of the most controversial films of the 1980s, burrowing beneath the surface of idyllic suburban America to reveal a sinister underworld of sex and violence. After stumbling upon a severed human ear, a young college student (Kyle MacLachlan) becomes obsessed with investigating its origins and gets entangled with a nightclub chanteuse (Isabella Rossellini) and her psychopathic lover (Dennis Hopper). A masterfully eerie, depraved psychosexual nightmare and one of the greatest films of the 1980s.

Action Pack: BRIDESMAIDS CHAMPAGNE PARTY(2011)In the movie that set the standard for women-driven comedy (not to mention bridal showers), Kristin Wiig shines as Annie, a woman tasked with the most daunting challenge known to womenkind: serving as the maid of honor. Shes a hot mess, but shes a lovable hot mess, and its impossible not to root for her, even as she falls prey to an over-achieving nemesis (Rose Byrne), a noncommittal douchebag (Jon Hamm) and a motley crew of bridesmaids, including Melissa McCarthy in her most hilarious role to date. Your ticket includes champagne (if youre 21 or over, otherwise you get Helens pink lemonade) in a flute that you can use to toast over and over again, then take home!

DINOSAURS TV With Michael Jacobs Q&A (1991-1994)Livestream Q&A with series creator Michael Jacobs.Critics called it an endearingly bizarre little half-hour, pleas-ingly self-referential and actually quite sophisticated, a com-edy about puppet dinos that addressed issues of environmental-ism, sexism, censorship, racism, religious fanaticism, puberty, corporate iniquity and drug abuse. Join us for three episodes plus a livestream Q&A!

THE GOONIES 30th anniversary(1995)From the hilarious and quotable exchanges to the positive reinforcement of how triumphant life can be when you have great friends, this is the definition of a feel good movie. Whether youre 78 or 11, whether youve watched it four-hun-dred-and-fifty-two times or youre seeing it for the first time, THE GOONIES never changes. It never degrades. It remains a smart, thrilling volcano of adventure that makes the world a better place. It also has ghost pirates.

DARK STAR: H.R. GIGERs WORLD (2015)Both a mesmerizing introduction to Gigers oeuvre and a must-see for Giger devotees, Belinda Sallins definitive documentary DARK STAR: H. R. GIGERS WORLD shares the intimate last years of the artists life and reveals how deeply heresided within his own artistic visions. The film also addresses Gigers complex relationship to the art world, where he defied traditional categories and embraced commercial projects for musicians including Debbie Harry, Korn, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and the Dead Kennedys.

Kids Camp: THE LAND BEFORE TIME (1988)Introduce your child to Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Ducky and Petrie, and follow them on their first journey together - an ex-citing quest to find the lush, legendary Great Valley. Along the way, the prehistoric pals overcome many challenges and learn the value of teamwork and friendship. This delightful classic is the adventure that started it all, and it continues to capture the hearts of viewers young and old.

Big Screen Classics: THUNDERBALL (1965)From the outset, 1965s THUNDERBALL was meant to be the biggest James Bond adventure ever. And it was adjusted for inflation THUNDERBALL made over a billion dollars, bested only by 2012s SKYFALL. Set in Paris, London, and Ian Flemings beloved Nassau, this film features perhaps the most beautiful roster of Bond Women seen before or since, and Sean Connery at his most assured in the role. Jet packs, the Aston Martin DB5, and a killer theme song by Tom Jones help make it the ultimate James Bond cinema experience. On its 50th anniversary (and on the eve of SPECTREs long-awaited return to the big screen), we reacquaint ourselves with James Bonds biggest battle against his deadliest enemy.

FULL METAL JACKET (1987)Stanley Kubrick takes on Vietnam with results that are intrigu-ingly humorous and ingenuously brutal. This isnt your average war movie. No, this movie is insane... in the captivating way that only Kubrick could pull off. There can be no doubt in your mind having seen this film that the old clich is true: War is Hell -- an absurd, tedious, bloody, wet-your-pants Hell.

WHAT IS VICTORY?Victory is the Alamos loyalty program, providing members with free movie tickets, free and discounted food, and priority access to special events. This includes at least one free special screening monthly, and the occasional invitation to advance screenings. Sign up for free and start getting perks right away!

Video Vortex: BACK FROM HELL (1993)Exclusive video introduction from director Matt Jaissle! Thanks to Massacre Video for making this screening possible!VHS-only insanity projected from VHS for only $1! Father Aaron is having a bad week because his fellow priests are being murdered by Satanists. Aarons childhood friend, Jack, is the number one suspect. Aaron and Jack agree that they must com-bine forces to battle Satan, who is the true killer. What follows are several planet-shaking adventures that culminate in several planet-crushing showdowns with Satanist ninjas, thrift store demonoids, and many, many heads being banged into objects.

Mondo X Chiller: THE BEYOND (1981, 35mm)Slight on story and heavy on atmospherics and extreme vio-lence, this is probably director Lucio Fulcis most feverish and accomplished film released during his horror and gore heydays of the 70s and 80s. Fulci has an intensely visual eye - when he isnt gouging it out - and never shies from onscreen violence. The set pieces are too numerous to mention, but the spider attack, hospital siege and final few frames are the stuff of legend. Add in a score from Fabio Frizzi, and you have a nightmarish, blood-drenched canvas that is sure to leave you breathless.

Zzangarang: THE BURBS (1989)When Tom Hanks still had a pulse, he and Joe Dante led unsus-pecting audiences into a deeply bizarre cul de sac of flesh-eating, body-thieving and suspected demonology, all with a banana peel slapstick flair that made everything feel as good-timey as an ice cream picnic with grandma. But the deep black waters of feral occultism run just beneath this fountain of yuks, with the spectre of death lurking around every turn. Hanks is joined by Carrie Fisher, Bruce Dern and Corey Feldman in uncovering the most sinister secret to ever sully the manicured lawn of the American dream.

Girlie Night: DIRTY DANCING (1987)Watch Baby and Johnny stun the country club set to the soaring notes of Time of Your Life, because dance has the power to change things! Dance could overcome social and racial barriers; it could break down prejudice; it could even transform a really annoying person like Baby into someone awesome! Baby and Johnny paved the way for future silver screen amalgamations of love on the dance floor. Obviously, theres no better place to cel-ebrate it than Girlie Night, where chair dancing is encouraged and absolutely no one will be put in the corner.

Vinegar Syndrome Presents: THE MUTHERS (1976)Sleaze ahoy! Directed by heroic smut merchant Cirio Santiago and shot on-the-cheap in the Philippines, this film is like step-ping into one of Martin Dennys exotica LPs while it plays in Jess Francos living room. Filled with nudity, karate chops, and epic psychedelic-funk jamz, this is the story of two black female pirates who rob and loot on the China Seas, get sent to a wom-ens prison presided over by a sadistic warden, then revolt and turn the sky black with the smoke from their machine guns. In other words, this is the only blaxploitation-revolutionary-pirate-women-in-prison movie that youll ever need. Restored from the original negative for maximum savagery!

AGFA Presents: NURSES FOR SALE (1971, 35mm)Introduced by Temple of Schlocks Chris PoggialiHamburg ship captain Markus Jolly (Curd Jurgens) is hired to transport a vaccine to a Latin American port, but when the precious cargo is stolen by mobsters, he is falsely accused of engineering the theft. Meanwhile, six nurses who have been brought to the same region to deal with the deadly outbreak are kidnapped by bandits. Somehow, these two plots converge and the nurses fire machine guns at their captors while helping Captain Jolly clear his name. Or something like that.

Tough Guy Cinema: OVER THE TOP (1987, 35mm)Sylvester Stallone stars as Lincoln Hawk, a truck driver who earns extra money by arm wrestling competitively. When his estranged wife becomes ill, she asks him to drive their son Michael from his military school to her. Sure it gets corny, even with its Giorgio Moroder produced soundtrack, but we cant imagine a room full of people not prepared to turn their caps backwards and cheer for Stallone, because the world meets nobody halfway!

Prints of Darkness: THE STEPFATHER (1987, 35mm)Introduced by Fangorias managing editor Michael Gingold. Inspired by the true case of John List, director Joseph Ruben and novelist Donald Westlake introduce us to Henry Morrison just as he has slaughtered his family. Henry then vanishes into the new identity of Jerry Blake, who marries widow Susan and does all he can to be the perfect husband to her and the perfect dad to Susans teenaged daughter Stephanie. The perceptive girl suspects something isnt right about her stepdad, though, and the resulting domestic unrest threatens Jerrys vision of familial bliss. And theres only one way to correct that problem...

Monday Night Thread Up: SWITCHBLADE SISTERS (1975, 35mm)Taking the girl gang genre exercises of the 1960s and adding an extra layer of grime, a bit more production value and some of that 1970s abandon: this was the recipe for Hills madness and it worked! Re-released domestically in the 90s via Tarantinos Rolling Thunder Pictures, time has been kind to Hills film. It features all of the melodrama of an after school special, the brash violence of its 70s contemporaries and a surprising aware-ness of societal and political issues at the time.
