    A great image is worth a thousand words. Its a clich, but so true.

    Sometimes its all you need to get the message across and make the desired emotional contact with your audience. Just look at any fashion advertising.

    Dont just think photography. It could be an illustration or an icon. Whatever communicates best and suits the personality of your brand.

    And dont forget. Images arent free! We need to support the creators of great imagery to make our products shine, seduce our audience and sell our brands.

    People in business are very serious. Nothing wrong with that.

    But dont assume that communications to serious people have to be serious all the time.

    We are all consumers too. We are all inundated with all sorts of marketing in our every day lives, so why do we leave our consumer sensibilities and emotions in the car park when were doing business? Communication is all about emotional responses.

    A small smile can go a long way. Most of us like to be entertained, even at work. Good communication has a responsibility to cut through the mundane, turn things around a little.

    So often, clients say to us, Id never have thought of that.

    Well, isnt that the point? We would.
