Beloit owns an 11-6 record over CUW in the history that dates back to 1975-76. Most recently

during the Stacey Brunner-Jones era, the Falcons are 2-1 against the Buccaneers. Last season they earned a 72-57 victory inside the R. John Buuck Field House on Novem-ber 17 behind a career-high 22 points from Katelyn Sewall. Beloit shot 54.8 percent in the loss, while CUW scored 29 points off turnovers.

MADELYN LANDGRAFLandgraf enters the season with her sights set on

scoring 1,000 career points and joining an elite club. Landgraf is most likely to do her damage from outside, as she ranks third all-time in program history shooting

36.1 percent from downtown.

The Falcons were 15-3 last sea-son when outrebounding the opposition. In addition, three players had at least one dou-

ble-figure rebounding game throughout the season.

CUW was predicted to finish second in the NACC Preseason Poll, with five first-place votes. Last season they were fourth with a 15-5 NACC record.

Opponents had a difficult time around the basket last season because CUW swatted 3.4 shot attempts per game, which was the second highest average for a season in program history.

GAME FORMATPlaying time for varsity games shall consist of four 10-minute periods. The intermission between the first and second and the third and fourth periods shall be the length of the electronic-media timeout (:75).

TEAM FOULSA team is awarded two free throws for each common foul beginning with the fifth team fouls in a period. Team fouls are reset each period.

DISQUALIFIED PLAYERThe time limit to replace a disqualified play-er is reduced to 15 seconds. When the head coach fails to replace a disqualified player before the second horn, the head coach is assessed a bench technical foul.

TIMEOUTSEach team will receive four timeouts (three 30-second timeouts and one 60-second tim-eout). A team may use the 60-second time-out at the discretion of the coach during the first or second half of the game. Teams will only be allowed to carry over three of those timeouts into the second half. Each team will also be awarded one 30-second timeout in each overtime period, plus retain any un-used timeouts remaining from the second half.

ADVANCING THE BALLWhen a timeout is charged to the offensive team during the last 59.9 seconds of the fourth period and/or any extra period, the team has the option to advance the throw-in spot to the 28-foot mark in the front court on the same side of the court as the scorers’ table.

10-SECOND BACKCOURT EXCEPTIONSThe 10-second count shall reset on all stop-pages of the game clock except when the defense causes the ball to be out of bounds, the offense retains possession after a held ball, or there is a technical foul assessed to the offensive team.

POST DEFENSEWhen an offensive post player with her back to the basket in the lane area is in control of the ball, a post defender may only place one forearm or one hand with a bend in the el-bow on the offensive player.
