Welcome to Simpson College. Were glad youve joined us to cheer on the Storm womens basketball team at Cowles Fieldhouse.

This is an exciting time to be a part of the Simpson community. The campus landscape is changing, paving the way for the next chapter in the colleges storied history. The Blank Performing Arts Center renovation is complete, giving a shiny

new home to the Simpson theater program and the nationally-recognized Des Moines Metro Opera. On the North end of campus, construction is underway for the new 55,000 square foot and nearly $14 million Kent Campus Center, which is scheduled to be completed next fall. On the athletic front, the track and turf at Buxton Stadium was replaced in the summer, giving our student-athletes the benefi t of competing on two of the fi nest surfaces in the Midwest. Inside Cowles Fieldhouse, our competition gymnasium received a facelift with the addition of a panel of photos recognizing the teams which compete in the venue and celebrating some of the fi nest student-athletes to step foot on our campus. Those individuals truly represent the championship tradition we have developed here at Simpson.

While we seek to provide the best venues and facilities for our student-athletes, the Simpson Experience is about more than that. As a member of NCAA Division III and the Iowa Conference, we take great pride in developing student-athlete potential through a holistic educational approach that includes rigorous academics, competitive athletics and opportunity to pursue other interests and passions. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many academic and professional resources available to them right here on campus, as well as utilize our proximity to Des Moines to pursue jobs and internships.

Thank you for joining us today. We hope you enjoy your piece of the Simpson Experience and visit us again soon. Go Storm!
