Duties and Taxes Paid View charges

DHL Express can arrange for the shipper or a third party to be billed for any duties and taxes payable at destination, rather than the receiver of the shipment being billed. Charges apply whenever the shipper requests that duties, taxes or other regulatory fees be billed outside of the destination country.

Printed Invoice View charges

Paper invoice for transport and VAT/customs costs. This service is aimed at customers requiring a paper invoice. The electronic

invoice is standard for the transport invoice and therefore free of charge. You can also register for the separate invoice for VAT and customs costs free of charge under My Bill and receive the invoiceelectronically(differentfeesapplyforpaperinvoices).

Residential Address View charges

Customers shipping to a home or private residence can activate specificdeliveryoptionsbydesignatingthedeliveryaddressasresidential. For such shipments, DHL Express will proactively notify the receiver via email or SMS about the shipment’s progress.Receiverscanthenselectthemostsuitabledeliveryoption on the On Demand Delivery website.

GoGreen Climate Neutral View charges

This service is for customers who need a reliable method to calculate their annual carbon emissions at a shipment level and subsequentlyoffsettheseemissionsthrough approved environmental programs. The whole process isverifiedannuallybyanindependentbodyaccreditedbytheUnited Nations. DHL can also provide reports for either a high level estimate or a detailed carbon footprint.

Packaging View charges

Weofferarangeofhigh-qualityDHL-brandedpackagingitems.One-offflyers,envelopesandsmallerboxesarefreeofcharge.Larger boxes and tubes can be ordered through Customer Services and will be provided by the courier at time of pickup. Packaging can be ordered online at dhl.ch.

Change of Billing View charges

Additional fee for canceling an invoice/customs invoice and issuing a new invoice, in the event that: the costs are to be billed toadifferentcustomernumber,i.e.notthenumberonthewaybillORtheinvoicerecipientwishestoamendtheinvoiceaddressORaccompanyingdocumentsorotherdocumentationis to be amended following customs clearance.

Neutral Delivery View charges

This service allows for the delivery of non-document shipments, without any value of the product being shared or exposed to the receiver, since the commercial invoice is removed prior to delivery.

Inordertomaintainaconsistentlyhighlevelofservice,inspecificcircumstancesDHLExpressleviesasurchargeforexceptional activities, ensuring that these surcharges are fair for all of our customers.

Fuel Surcharge View charges

This variable surcharge is applied to the weight charge of each shipmentandanytransportationrelatedsurcharges.Itisderived from publicly available fuel oil indices that are also shown on the DHL Express website at dhl.ch/fuelsurcharge. The charge is calibrated every month to the oil price that was current two months prior to the billing month. The Fuel Surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.

Remote Area View charges

This surcharge applies when a shipment is collected from ordeliveredtoalocationthatisdistantordifficulttoserve. TheRemoteAreasurchargeappliestointernationalanddomesticshipments(differentchargesapply).

Overweight Piece View charges

Afixedsurchargeisappliedtoeverypiece,includingapalletthatexceeds a scale or volumetric weight of 70kg. The Overweight Piece surcharge applies to international shipments.

Oversize Piece View charges

Thisfixedsurchargeappliestoeverypiece,includingapallet,with a single dimension in excess of 120cm. The Oversize Piece surcharge applies to international shipments.

Non-Stackable Pallet View charges

Thisfixedsurchargeisappliedtoeverypalletwithinashipmentthat cannot be stacked, either on request by the shipper, or because of its shape, content or packaging. This surcharge applies to international shipments.

Dangerous Goods View charges

DHL can carry acceptable quantities of dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Packages containing dangerous goods materials will be assessed and a service charge will be applied accordingly. Additional charges may also apply.

Lithium Batteries View charges

A surcharge may apply per shipment when the handling and transportationofshipmentsinvolvesLithiumIonorLithium

MetalbatteriescompliantwiththeappropriateIATAPackingInstructions966,967,969and970,SectionII.

Excepted Quantities View charges

Thisfixedsurchargeisappliedpershipmentwhenthehandlingand transportation of shipments involves substances and commodities that are in Excepted Quantities in compliance with IATADangerousGoodsRegulations.

Limited Quantities View charges

A surcharge is applied per shipment when the ground handling and transportation of shipments involves substances and commodities that are in Limited Quantities in compliance withADRregulationsandwhicharerestrictedfromairtransportation. Such dangerous goods are restricted to no more than 30kg per piece and are accepted from approved shippers only.

Dry Ice UN1845 View charges

A service charge will be applied for the handling and transportationofDryIceUN1845,whichisusedasafreezingagent for non-dangerous goods.

Address Correction View charges

Thisfixedsurchargeisappliedtoanyshipmentthathasanincorrect delivery address at the time of pickup and the delivery cannotbefulfilledaftermakingeffortsatthedestinationtodetermine the correct address. This surcharge applies to international shipments.

Data Entry View charges

Thisfixedsurchargeappliesforeachshipmentconsignedwithnon-electronic, paper based manual waybills. Electronic shipping documentation incurs no additional charges.

Security Charges View charges

Additional surcharges may apply when shipping from or to a destination country where DHL is operating at elevated risk due to continuous state of war, civil unrest, or continuous threats from terrorism (Elevated Risk), or when shipping to a destination country that is subject to trade restrictions imposed by the UN Security Council (Restricted Destination).

Dunning ChargesDHL reserves the right to invoice a dunning charge in the amountofCHF4.50forthefirstdunningnoticeandCHF12.50for the second dunning notice.

Disbursement View charges

Customs clearance via the DHL ZAZ (CSP)* account. A one-time handlingfeeforeachinvoice.(ForTDIshipmentsonly).

Advance Commission View charges

Only for importers without a ZAZ (CSP)* account. A commission is charged if import duties and taxes are initially paid by DHL Express.ThissurchargeappliestoTDI/DDIand“Weltpaket”Prioshipments.

Broker Notification View charges

At the customer’s request, DHL will provide the necessary paperwork to the customer’s designated broker to perform the importclearanceandresumethedeliverytothefinaldestinationonce the clearance is completed. DHL is subsequently not responsible for the timeliness of the submission to customs or for the release of the shipment.

Customs Clearance Fee Formal/Informal Clearance View charges

For imported shipments, an additional customs clearance fee is charged.(InformalClearanceaccordingtothecriteriaoftheCustomsAuthorityorFormalClearance).ForDDIImportonly.

Bonded Storage View charges

Storage charges apply when the shipment cannot be released by customs due to inaccurate or missing paperwork. Charges take effectthreecalendardaysafterthefreightarrivaldateorbrokernotification,whicheverislater.Thechargeappliestothedutyand taxes payer.

Bonded Transit View charges

Transfer and delivery of the item by means of consignment note (Geleitschein) in transit status.

Release to Broker View charges

At the importer’s request, the release of a DHL Express shipment to the customer’s designated customs broker of choice. DHL will transfer the necessary customs documentation and move the inbound shipment from the point of arrival to the broker’s locationwithinthesamecustomsoffice.Thebrokerperformsthe last mile delivery. This is only available if the broker is located at the same domicile as DHL and the shipment.

Clearance Data Modification View charges

A surcharge applies in case the customs declared value of a shipmentrequiresmodificationeitherbeforeorduringthecustoms clearance process.

Multiline Entry View charges

A service charge will be assessed for multiline item entries with morethanfivelines.Anexamplewouldbe–oneshipmentwithmultiple products or multiple invoices. All products require identificationandmustbeclassifiedunderseparateharmonizedtariffnumbers.

ATA Temporary Import/Export View charges

When requested by the shipper or importer, DHL prepares the merchandise or goods for their temporary export and later import.Raworsemi-finishedmaterialscanbeimportedintoaCustoms’ approved Export Processing Zone or Free Trade Zone forvalueaddingactivities,providingthefinishedgoodsaresubsequently exported.

Weltpaket ShipmentsThe following fees are invoiced to the receiver of Weltpaket Eco shipments:

n Processing fee: 3% of taxable amount (value of goods, carriage, all customs duties and taxes), but to a maximum of CHF 70.00

n Customs clearance fee CHF 11,50 n Furthercustomsserviceswillbeaccountedasspecified

aboveFor Weltpaket Prio shipments, the customs clearance costs are paid by the sender. Additionally, Advance Commission for WeltpaketPrioshipmentsareapplicableasspecifiedabove.

Shipment weightPleaseweighandmeasureyourshipment.Ifyouaresending a large but lightweight shipment, where its volumetric (dimensional) weight exceeds its actual weight, the cost of the shipment is calculated on the space your consignment takes up on the aircraft. This is a standardIATAmethod.Tocalculatethevolumetricweightof your shipment, simply multiply the length by height by widthincentimeters,thendividethetotalsumby5 000for each piece in the shipment. Any piece in the shipment may be re-weighed and/or re-measured by DHL to confirmthiscalculation.

Documentation required: waybillAll shipments sent with DHL Express need to have a fully completed DHL waybill or label securely attached to each piece. This will enable the successful movement of your shipment through the DHL network. Each waybill or label is individually numbered to allow you to track your shipment from collection through to delivery. Your shipment may also need to be accompanied by customs documentation, such as a commercial or proforma invoice, as well as additional paperwork depending on the contents and value of the shipment and the country you are sending to.

Documentation required: invoice A commercial or proforma invoice is required when sending non-document shipments to countries and territories outside your origin country or customs union. This is essentially a declaration containing all the details of a transaction and is used by customs authorities to assess if duties or taxes are payable. A commercial invoice is used when goods are part of a commercial transaction or intended for resale. A proforma invoice is used when sending goods of no commercial value (for example, when sending samples).

1 BANK DETAILS These are the bank details that will be used for the transaction between the seller and buyer. These details are not required for non-commercial/proforma invoices.

2 DESCRIPTION Generic or broad descriptions are no longer permitted and are likely to cause delays. Descriptions should include the items, how many there are, what they are made of, and what they will be used for. For example, describing items as ‘samples’, ‘parts’ or ‘spares’ is not acceptable for customs classification,safetyandsecurityreasons.

3 COMMODITY CODE Thisistheproductidentificationcodeusedby the exporting country to classify the goodstobeexported.Itassistsclearanceand avoids delays.

4 COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE/ORIGIN This relates to the place of manufacture, notthecountryofexport.Ifitemsaremanufactured in more than one country, please list the origins.

5 TOTAL DECLARED VALUE This is the total value of the transaction for customspurposesbasedontheIncotermselected. The total declared value should include freight and insurance charges if the seller is responsible for these two elements.

PACKAGING YOUR SHIPMENT

To ensure that your shipments travel safely and securely

through the DHL Express global network, it is important that

they are packaged and labeled correctly.

Packaging guidelines n Ifyouarere-usingenvelopesorboxes,pleaseensurethat

old labels and markings are removed

n Securelyfixthewaybilltotheshipment.Thewaybillcanbe

thought of as the shipment’s airline ticket and it will delay

delivery if it becomes separated from your shipment

n The barcodes on the waybill are scanned at numerous

points during your shipment’s journey. Please ensure

thebarcodeisflatandnotcoveredbytape,shrinkwrap

or strapping

n Place the waybill on the top or side of your shipment

and please ensure it does not overlap the corners or

edges of boxes

n Use adequate protective wrapping for fragile or delicate

items and ensure they are packed as far away as possible

from the corners of boxes

n To prevent injury to our employees, please pay special

attention to the packaging of sharp items. There should not

be any possibility of the contents piercing the packaging

n Any individual pieces over 70kg should be placed on a

pallet.Ifyouaresendingamulti-pieceshipment,itisnot

necessary to place the individual pieces on a pallet unless

they exceed 70kg. For example, a shipment comprising

four 25kg pieces does not have to be placed on a pallet
