    INTRODUCTION

    To encourage creativity, resourcefulness and originality of

    design, Crocs, Inc. is organizing the Crocstm Shoe Design

    Competition 2008, challenging everyone in Singapore to

    redesign the Crocstm shoes (beach model). The competition

    theme, Colour Your World, encapsulates the essence of the

    competition; we are not expecting a particular genre or style,

    but a design that is aesthetically pleasing in its own right, yet

    comfortable to wear.

    Entry forms and Crocstm shoes designated for the competition

    are available at Crocstm Concept Stores (Marina Square #03-

    134 & VivoCity #01-63/64).

    There will be two stages in this competition, a qualifying

    round to select the top 10 nalists from all submitted entries,

    and a grand nal to select the top 3 winners. The grand naland prize presentation ceremony will be held on 15 November

    2008. The top 10 nalists creations will be displayed at the

    VivoCity (North Court) from 10th to 16th November 2008.

    The top 3 winners will get cash prizes and all 10 nalists will

    receive Crocs vouchers.

    WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

    The competition is open to all in Singapore. Participation is on

    individual basis. Each participant can only register and submit

    a maximum of 2 entries.

    JUDGING CRITERIA

    The judging panel will be selected by the Crocs managementteam and comprises of footwear and design industry experts

    and practitioners, for the qualifying rounds and grand nals

    (80%). Strict guidelines will be followed and entries will be

    judged based on:

    1. Creativity (Innovativeness, materials used, aesthetics,

    relevance of theme & concept);

    2. Originality (entries must be new and original works by the

    entrants, those that infringe on intellectual property rights will

    be disqualied);

    3. Wearable (able to withstand normal wear or use, practical

    and comfortable for wearer) .

    During the voting week from 7th to 14th November 2008,Crocs customers who purchased at least a pair of shoes will

    be allowed to vote for their favorite shoe design, and this will

    inuence 20% of the total score given to the top 10 nalists.

    IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES

    Entry deadline: Friday, 6 October 2008, 1700 hrs

    Grand fnal: Saturday, 15 November 2008

    Late entries will not be accepted.

    HOW TO ENTER?

    1. Register by collecting in person at Crocs Concept Stores

    (Marina Square #03-134 or VivoCity #01-63/64) an ofcial

    entry form and one side of a Crocstm

    shoe (beach model)from a designated selection. Colors and sizes are available

    while stocks last.

    2. Entries must be submitted via email to

    [email protected]. Please indicate the

    subject title of the email as- Submission: Crocs Shoe

    Design Competition. Any other variation of email subject

    titles will be disqualied.

    3. Entry submissions must include the ofcial entry form

    with all required particulars and 3 different photographs

    of the shoe (right view, left view and top view) in at least

    300dpi and less than 500KB per picture. Please submit only

    via email and not by post. As email security is prevalent

    and necessary due to increasing malware and spam, some

    public email addresses and content may be ltered out

    and therefore, submission of an entry by email does NOT

    imply that the organizers received your email. We do no

    guarantee receipt nor do we acknowledge receipt of your

    email. Kindly note that we do NOT entertain enquiries by

    phone.

    4. Incomplete or wrong entries (e.g. submitted photographs

    of shoes are not in high-resolution and out-of-focus,

    missing information, etc) will be disqualied. Please visit

    5. The top 10 nalists will be notied by email and phone

    to collect a new pair of Crocstm shoes (Beach model) to

    reproduce their designs for judging and displaying during

    the grand nal. Selected top 10 nalists will receive more

    details at a later date.

    6. Finalists have to be present in person during the grandnal and prize presentation, or the entry is considered

    disqualied and prizes forfeited.

    PRIZES

    Gold Prize Winner: S$2,000 in cash

    Silver Prize Winner: S$1,000 in cash

    Bronze Prize Winner: S$500 in cash

    All top 10 nalists: S$200 Crocs voucher each

    Other Information:

    The organizer reserves the right to keep the nalists works until such time that

    the publicity period is over.

    The nalists works will be displayed at the discretion of the organizer and the

    organizer assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to the creations.

    Judges decision is nal and no other correspondences will be entertained.

    Participants shall be liable for claims by third parties resulting from any

    intellectual property infringement. The organizer shall not be held responsible

    for any infringement.

    The organizer shall not be liable for any accidents, mishaps, injuries, loss of

    property that may arise in relation to this competition. The organizers assume no

    responsibility for any of the above-mentioned.

    The contest is not open to Crocs employees, resellers, organizers of the

    competition, and their immediate family members.

    Crocs Asia Pte Ltd reserves the right to make any changes to the competition

    without prior notice.
