March 2002 - August 2003 Madigan Army Medical Center Tacoma, WACharge Nurse Emergency DepartmentSupervised 15 nursing personnel, managed patient care and flow in a 25 bed Level II Emergency Department and a 6 bed Acute Care Clinic. Planned, coordinated and implemented an 8-hour Skills Fair for Emergency Department personnel, which provided annual training and certification. Created an awareness program, addressing patient education issues such as nursing, medical, safety and medication.

March 2003 - June 2003 47th Combat Support Hospital Camp Wolf, KuwaitAssistant Head Nurse Emergency Medical Treatment Served as Assistant Head Nurse in a deployed Level III Emergency Medical Treatment Section supporting 300,000 soldiers, enemy prisoners of war and civilian non-combatants during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Responsible for supervision of 10 Registered Nurses and 20 medics providing 24-hour emergency care. Responsible for triaging 40+ patients during multiple MASCALs. Collected daily Disease and non-Battle Injury reports which provided the command with information on wartime injuries and illnesses. Created a nursing audit tool to improve documentation in an austere field environment.
