Very important matter![Anglice prosequitur.]

Yes, he can do it; we know.

T his idea of dreaming in a family pvery much[ ]. All mothers and all fadreamt about their child for nine motrue?, or not?, to dream how the child will bwithout dreaming is not possible. When the dream is lost in a family, children do not grnot grow, life becomes weak and is extingui

fore, therefore, I recommend to you that ewhen you make the examination of conscienquestions beindeed made too: Did I dream tothe future of my children? Did I dream todayof my husband?, of my wife? Did I dream parents and grandparents who related storieme? To dream is so important, rst of all, tfamily. Do not lose this capacity to dream.

And also, how many difficulties in the

married estate are resolved if we allot forace of a dream, if we pause and think of thof the wife, and dream of the goodness thathe good things that they have. It is therefoportant to recover love througheveryday dream.Neverever stop being boyfriends and girlfriends! It is a veimportant matter![Anglice prosequitur.]

I would like also to tell you a very personlove Saint Joseph very much, because he is of silence. And in my writing desk, I have Saint Joseph, sleeping. And sleeping, he looChurch. Sleeping, he looks after the ChurchYes he cdo it; we know. And when I have a problem, a diwrite a note which I place under Saint Josethat hemay dream about it!is, this signies that he pray for that problem.[Anglice prosequitur.]

Pero l mir ms all!

e same is with Saint Joseph. To Saint Joseph, thegift of the Holy Family was entrusted that he may trans-mit it further on. To each one of you, and to us, becauseI am also a child of a family, Gods plan is entrusted tous to transmit it further on.[Anglice prosequitur.]

    Ideological colonisationsexist,which seek to destroy

the family! ey are not born from the dream of prayer,of the encounter with God, of the mission that Godgives us. ey come from outside. I therefore call themcolonisations.Let us not lose the freedom of the missionthat God gives us,the mission of the family! And it isthis very manner how our peoples, in a moments intheir history, reached the maturity to reply No! towhichever political colonisation. As family, we have tobevery, very wise, very capable, very strong, in order to

say No! to whichever intent of ideological colonisationupon the family; and to beseech Saint Joseph, who was afriend of the angel, that he may send us the in irationto know when wecansay Yes! and when wemustsayNo![Anglice prosequitur.]

I think of Blessed Paul VI, in one moment when theproblem of population growth was proposed to him, hehad the courage to defend the familys openness to life.He knew the difficulties that exist in each family. He

was, therefore, merciful in his encyclical[ ] with re eto particular cases, and he asked confessors that theymay be very merciful and understanding with re e toparticular cases. But he looked beyond! He looked to the peoples of the earth, and saw this menace of de-stru ion of the family through the privation of chil-dren. Paul VI was courageous. He was a good shepherd. And he cautioned his sheep about the wolves that wereapproaching[ ]. May he from heaven bless us this even-ing![Anglice prosequitur.]

I remained today supremely moved at heart afterMass, when I visited that home for children, who arealone, with no families. How many people work in theChurch so thatthathome may become a family! ismeanspropheticallybringing further onthatwhich afamily signies![Anglice prosequitur.]

    Anamnesis4 ,

During the papal visit, some of usbecame too childish in how wetreated the Pope. e timing ofthe visit with the feast of the HolyChild of Cebu, and its encounterswith families and the youth is not

an excuse to appreciate the Pope asmerelya child, valuable only for his cute smile, or his unassumingbreakfast, or his general geniality to all. He is notthe cushy doll one can buy in many stores promot-ing the visit. e Pope has a throne, we mustknow and remember, and in the heart of the Vati-can, he ought to rule from it, and steer the barqueof Peter across the waters of the world. He eventemporarily dethroned on January our veryown Cardinal Tagle from his metropolitan see.

    * * *e metropolis, doubtless incited

by the twisted and sensationalis-ing arm of its press, swooned overthe psalmist during Pope FrancisMass at the cathedral. Let us callthis arm themedias withered arm, because it is useless but nonetheless hampers good journalism. e Church must begin screening themedia. We imagine a sort of entrance examina-tion, covering basic canon law, the catechism, theLiturgy, etc. e Church isnot showbiz. Weneed minds higher than those of chronic gossipers.
